Yes, the NYJ Today Post-Game Show will actually be live at 8pm EST to discuss this embarrassment of a game/franchise. Come vent with us. Go Jets...
To summarize the show… -Fans are starting to question Joe Douglas, Robert Saleh and this coaching staff. -Jets fans are tired of LaFleur…like, really tired of him.
I was thinking of venting in the comment section, but figured I'd save some space and stay out of it. Saleh should be questioned about preparation for yesterday's game when they had 2 weeks to do so and Douglas for how long he expects this rebuild to go. Giants fans want Gettleman gone because this is his 4th year on the job and they've gone 17-38 on his watch. The Jets are 11-28 in 2+ years since Joe took over and the best season was the one where he took over after the heavy lifting was done. You don't need 5 years to rebuild in this league!!
It's kind of ridiculous to think Saleh is going anywhere after six games but there were people here unhappy with the performance since game one. Douglas is a different story after over two years and there's been a fair amount of criticism since free agency. It may not be that the voices are getting louder but that more are paying attention.
Car - Game was over in the first half. Came back in Garbage time, were never going to win that game. Outcoached. Outschemed. NE - Embarassed in home opener. Had no clue. Outcoached. Outschemed. Out classed. Out everything elsed. Den - Total no show - No clue again, couldn't even muster a point. Had a FG on the board removed because of a penalty (more poor coaching) TN- Shocking win against a far superior opponent. They tried to lose as best as they could and were lucky Bullock missed a tying FG Atl - Embarassed by a mediocre team on Nat'l TV - Another mediocre opponent moving the ball up and down the field at ease. Game was over at halftime here too NE - Arguably the single worst performace by a NY Jet team in their history of existence. After a bye with 2 weeks to prepare for an opponemt you've already played, with a rookie QB same as you, were totally out classed, out schemed, out coached and out everything elsed. They looked like they did not belong in the same stadium as a 9-8 / 8-9 Patriot team that is really not that good. You fellas see the common denominator throughout the first 6 weeks? Poor coaching, poor scheming, poor preparation, poor everything. Honestly, can not fathom yesterdays performance, regardless of Mosely being out, there are 10 other guys on defense and 11 guys on offense as well. They had 2 weeks to prepare. A good CS can scheme and make adjustments to put players in different positions to at least be competitive. Heaven forbid they win a 35-34 shootout with some competency on offense. Instead we get 54-13, a broken QB, leaving NE with tails between legs, and a whole lot of nothing else. So sick of it.
I do not think that either is going anywhere after this season. That is just what I hear from the fan base.
No worries man. Vent anytime. This team is so damn frustrating. As you said, rebuilds don't have to take half a decade to complete. I am with you.
Excellent post... before the season started, I wasn't sure what we had with this CS. Indeed, I just stated I didn't expect a lot of wins but wanted to see progress week to week, players and CS. That is not manifested and if anything this team has regressed from the TN and is in state of disarray with NO answers coming from the CS....
