I had enough many, many years ago. Yet, like a fool, I keep coming back for more. I have no idea why.
He wasn't forced into anything, he even said when he was hired how much he liked Gase. He was a Gase guy, and he's the Gase of GMs.
We have no other choice. We love the sport, and imagine switching teams at this point in our lives? We'd get zero fulfillment from jumping on a wining bandwagon...so we're stuck
That's not true. JD was hired while Gase was head coach after the draft. He said kind words about Gase because that was the head coach when he was hired. Don't start with this bullshit.
The only credit I can give to JD right now is that Adams trade, and the fact that he got a second round pick for a QB that got benched in the 4th against the Giants. JD does seem to use his reputation in this league to make out like a bandit on certain trades.
He's done plenty of good along with plenty of bad. Talent isn't the main problem with this team, coaching is.
JD was under no obligation to take this job. If he was as great as he was cracked up to be, there would have been opportunities for him with other teams the following offseason.
Thinking so too. Just doesn't work out at half an off-season really. So more like 2 off-seasons if we're actually going to gripe properly. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
He was the GM during the 2019 season, but he had very little to do with the performance of that team because GMs do their work in the offseason, and the Jets 2019 offseason was pretty much done when he was hired.
Great trades like turning Leonard Wiliams into Ashtyn Davis? I turned on the Giants game for a minute only to watch LW get a safety smh. Meanwhile Davis continues to look like PS material.
He was GM the entire camp, decided the final 53, and managed the entire season including the LW trade and singing Kallil 2019. He’s on his third year of his 6 yr contract and the team is worse than when he started. JD is trash to this point. Let’s get a real GM to support these coaches and QB. It’s embarrassing to be a fan of this team.
I'm not arguing if you don't like the guy or rate his moves. Just only had 2 offseasons. You have to judge from the first off-season and not from when he was hired. Simples really. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
Williams has been awful this year, sans last 2 games. This fan base really needs to stop living in the sports moment so much that everything else that proceeded it is not relevant. Darnold has one good game, he's a pro bowler. Mims has a good catch, he's our 2nd best receiver. White threw a few completions, he's better then Wilson. Williams has a good 2 games, so now we miss him. He's a professional player, we really think he would never have a good game ever again? I am one of the biggest Davis haters on this board, I think he's garbage... But Williams is not worth his contract.
