OK folks, let's talk PBJ. You are going to make your ideal PBJ sandwich... 1) Crunchy or Creamy Peanut Butter? 2) Jelly - What Flavor 3) Ratio of Peanut Butter to Jelly on the sandwich (Example - 60% Peanut Butter, 40% Jelly) 4) What kind of Bread?
Jelly is for sissies. I go straight peanut butter sandwich and do indeed enjoy the dry mouth to follow.
1) Whatever's on sale. used to be crunchy, but been leaning towards creamy these days (esp the "natural w/ honey") 2) strawberry preserves 3) 50/50... maybe 60/40 PB 4) multi grain/whole wheat.. I used to live off these things, but I've cut way back on bread & sugar (I get enough of that from beer).... but a good PBJ still comes through in the clutch
Crunchy preferred. I got jif recently and it was flavorless compared to the store brand I got previously--so store brand. 90% PB/ 10%J--prefer grape The best is white bread but don't have it in the house normally.
Thick spread of crunchy with a slight cover of homemade passion fruit jelly on wheat bread so soft you may think it’s steamed.
Never crunchy Prefer JIF If Jelly, grape but prefer just with bananas. Actually twice this past week my lunch was slicing a Gala apple and dipping in PB.
Balderdash, Smuckers strawberry preserves is the way to go. I usually go with the triple decker PB&J, get twice as much PB@J but less bread. About 65% PB and 35% J is my ratio. between my PB&J and protein shakes I go through a jar of PB every 2 weeks or so.
Skippy or jif smooth peanut butter Smukers grape jelly Ratio - anywhere from 60-40 pb to j to 50-50 White bread or wheat bread
