That hes going for help on his off week? Always wonder if Jax, Chicago, Pats, 49r fans are this negative. Because everyone of those QBs has struggled, most more than Wilson
You mean he's not a Jordan Palmer client and where are Chrims Simms ringing endorsements when you need them? The shit some of you post on here. Mehh...pass.
Is that good or bad? I wasn't referring to Waldman (if that's the guy in the video you posted)... of course Zach's mechanics are fucked up on those short easy throws he's missing. But I think it's because he's over-thinking shit... he's not just letting it flow. Were his mechanics a problem before his recent struggles? I don't think they're baked in... they'll disappear when he gets his mind right.
You hope that it's just a mental issue. That said, Steve Sax was a pretty good second baseman for the Dodgers before he suddenly could not make the routine throws to first.
I’ve yet to feel like he’s been overwhelmed, even with the 4 pick game. He’s def more aggressive then previous QB’s we’ve had and he processes information quicker then the others. This offense has yet to have ball control outside a few drives but they are only getting like 50 plays a game, that’s way too low, and are playing from behind, hence the lack of a run game and never having to play ahead.
How is he processing information faster? I don't even know what that means dude. That's just like a scouting cliche at this point. He looks dreadful as does the entire offense. If he's processing everything faster he would be moving the chains more.
Yep... the dreaded Steve Sax Syndrome. But Sax bounced back nicely... let's see if Zack can do the same.
If Zach is a bust and the next QB throws an interception on every pass, there will be posters praising how the new QB throws a much more catchable ball than Zach.
If he's processing information faster (whatever that means at this point) that must mean he's woefully inaccurate and he will be awful anyways.
I don’t mind the throw him in there part, it’s the expectations of asking him to do more than he’s capable of that concerns me. Mac Jones will be ready much faster than Wilson because he has a veteran CS that can guide him through the land mines and will never ask him to be something he’s not ready to be.
However Mac Jones ceiling is probably fairly low compared to the other rookies this year. Belichik was trying to force-find the next Brady, which is basically an impossible thing to do. Jones is a tier 2 QB prospect who is likely a quality long-term backup in the NFL. He might be an ok starter but the odds are pretty good he is holding a clipboard somewhere by 2024 or so.
Bill will not find another HOF QB, but if he gets Mac Jones to be a an ok starter it will still be good enough for that team to stay competitive and be in the running for the playoffs. I would be shocked if Jones ends up being a backup.
If it indeed causing to miss easy bunnies, then I’d say it’s bad. Waldman is the only person (I respect) I can remember that thought his short area accuracy was a concern during the draft season. I personally didn’t think those errant passes happened enough for it to be labeled a concern. So far this season however I will say it’s happened a bit too much for my liking.
Not if nobody is open or you have 3 and 15 after 5 yd loss on the run. That is the problem with blanket statement arguments without any contexts. They are meaningless.
The blanket statement was made that he's "processing information quicker than the others." Can you explain what that means? Did anyone make that argument or are you straw-manning again? With that being said, he's completing 57% of his passes, so he's certainly missing both easy and difficult throws, no?
What context do you want? We have the worst offense engineered by arguably the worst quarterback in the league who has more than doubled his turnovers to touchdowns and is completing 57% of his passes. Wilson can turn it around and be the next Aaron Rodgers and he's still played awful up until this point in his young career.
Wilson and the offense is significantly better in the 2nd half. It’s not like they are Gase’s offense which was relatively boring in addition to schemes and a QB who can’t deliver the ball. Wilson is 3rd completions over 20+ yards with some big names. And this is with an offense that has gotten off to DREADFUL starts. I don’t see it being like last year as an example where it was inept all game. there’s advanced stats that trends in good direction for Wilson too. They must nail the run game first and foremost to correct a lot of the early offensive woes. Here’s some reading for you. https://t.co/SLrKr2w4vl let it go on record that a lot of fans expect instant gratification when any realistic fan knows this would be a long season, bunch of young first year and second year players with a staff that are all in new roles for their first time as well. Let’s pump the brakes, relax and just go thru the process of this season. You was the one that’s gone on record saying the Jets should have brought on a veteran QB. The staff feels like they didn’t need to do that. Correct the issues and go from there, a veteran QB who would start what, 2-3 games Isn’t going to help Zach on the field any more then the coaches they have. He was playing from day 1 because with their evaluations they felt he could handle it. Now just be patient.
