Sounds like JD is looking at that RG spot. Fusco also mentioned it on his IG stories. Be interested in seeing if he gets a look here/signed in the next few days. He’s 33 but hasn’t played since 2018…

He had a season ending ankle injury on 2018 and played just 7 games. Was released by the Falcons after a failed physical designation.

Yet still, Van Roten is on the field giving TFL's on every other run play and Feeney rides the bench.

    That's scary!

Slim pickings out there when you have to bring in a 33-year-old guard who hasn't played in 3 years.

In EVERY draft. Jets did that in the late 70's. Marvin Powell, Chris Ward, gulp, Dave Cadigan.... Can't leave out gulp, Mike Haight

Michaels drafted Powell and Ward in back to back years. They did fairly well although there was talk Ward was better suited for guard.

Haight and Cadigan were different stories - both drafted by Walton. Haight barely made the team out of training camp and probably the only reason he did was because every other draft pick from that year 1986 was cut in training camp! That was probably the worst ever Jets draft and that’s saying something. Cadigan was a disappointment - started at LT in a failed experiment but did find moderate success at guard for a few years.

As far as these days Becton was a good pick although it remains to be seen if he can adjust to the blocking schemes of this new staff. AVT has been really coming on. The Jets will have a huge hole at RG and we’re not sure what the sorry will be with C this coming offseason. That’s why I’m thinking JD goes OL high again. I like the Jets chances they will find another good OL with JD doing the picking …

Man that draft is pathetic! Considering Haight was only arguably only a serviceable OL if that. No wonder we were atrocious in late 80s.

NYG was able to find 4 solid starters in the 2nd round along with 2 contributors in Lasker and Washington.

NYJ is so cursed after ‘69.

Look at the jets, still doing the type of shit that got us here. Looking for cheap plug ins that end up ruining QB's careers..
This is really pathetic and I will KEEP calling JD a YES man ala he keeps doing shit like this which was EXACTLY the shit that was done by the previous yes men.
How does no one see this pattern? lol
