    Maybe if he just hadn't had the big hit he would have ran that 1st down, who knows what is being said in the ear piece about him not sliding etc

    He created the big hit though. Again, there's no need to defend him massively. If he runs we still have the ball. A run is a higher probability of conversion than a pass. Wilson is a good athlete and can do it. He's likely a bit shell shocked from all the early career hits.

    These long dink and dunk drives early in the game with the time change is going to destroy us fatigue wise on defense.

    I can’t watch the game, I’m in Colorado and I have no access to Jets, everything I’m getting is from this forum, I have to agree that Sheppard gets flagged a lot though.

    I wasn't defending him tbh I agree he should have ran the 1st down, I was offering up a possible reason why he didn't run is all.
