huff is one of the top rated pass rushers from PFF. and as far as JD goes he's been a winner on the waiver wire and with UDFA and late rouund picks. it's rounds 2-4 we still seem to suck at. hoping moore can change that
The refs were awful. The replacement refs were better back in the day, and that ain't no lie. Even Steratore doesn't make sense anymore.
Back in the day off-sides and encroachment were pretty easy calls. Let's just say the officiating keeps deteriorating.
Sounds all too familiar with this team. Can somehow find some late round or UDFA contributors, but have a complete aversion to talent in rounds 2-4. Moore will be a winner imo, although almost a 1st rounder really.
I mean we aren't the only teams struggling in those rounds. the draft is a crapshoot. if you can hit on 50% of your picks you are a legend. it's like batting in baseball. If you fail 7 out of 10 times, you are still a HOFer because it's that hard to get it right consistently.
100% agree. I think a lot of fans seem to overrate draft selections as automatic starters. Until they turn on them completely of course. It is a crapshoot. Still, with our Rounds 2-4 the last 10 years, have we even hit on 10% of them? Some real major whiffs included. Have to get better at least finding more contributors on those Day 2 picks especially.
