I was really impressed with the drive that tied it up at 17 all. That was in response to the Titans scoring 8 to pull ahead. The way Zach scooped up the fumbled snap and calmly lofted a perfect toss to Crowder... just nice.
Great victory and I hope this gives Zack the proper confidence. I loved the go deep and I will throw it to you. Reminded me of backyard football.
Yeah, I just had a gut feeling the Jets would win. And the game went pretty much how I expected until the Jets could not quite close it out in regulation and allowed the Titans to tie it. Still, I give Tennessee credit for never giving up. Both teams gave a great effort yesterday, and I am happy the Jets walked away with the win!
I bet a C note that the Titans would win & cover. That kind of reverse voodoo deserves a special mention at minimum...
I still see Robbo slowing down waiting waiting on what woulda been a game winning TD cept Sam cant throw it that far
I only saw what REDZONE showed me... butthe fact they kept going to the game meant plays were being made...
After watching the game today, It appears that the D has indeed bought into Urbrichs' system and are starting to execute it. It wasn't good that the D couldn't close the Titans out and allowed the tying TD but LeFleur owns that for screwing up the knock out punch in the red zone with sketchy play calling. The game should have never went into OT. As time goes on, hopefully LeFleur learns how to close games out. He also needs to realize that Zach is better on the move than stationary. That is obvious to everyone as Zach is a rare arm talent. Glad the jets won. I also realize its only ONE GAME with 13 left to play. Lets see how much they learned yesterday and how much of it carries over to London next Sunday morning. Time will tell..
LET US PRAY btw... Generational TLaw and Zdub have virtually identical stats... I can never WISH my team continue losing... I can try to laugh at them.... but I cannot wish them to lose for draft status...
You and I are of the faithful, we must forgive our doubting brothers and welcome them with open arms back into jets nation. Play like a Jet! All gas no brakes!
Can someone explain to me what brought about the OL improvement this week? Was there a simplified blocking system in use, was it play calling, was it just simply time spent putting in the work now getting it's reward, a little bit of everything? Cheers
Looked like they communicated correctly because there were no free rushers from what I can remember all game. It helped that the Titans don't really have any good edge rushers and they didn't blitz a ton for some reason (again just based on memory).
I was just thinking... that Wilson to Davis bomb looked a lot like O'Brien to Walker back in the day..
If my sense is correct, the big factor was that Wilson got the plays off a lot quicker. Maybe somebody who watches a lot of film or some site that does can compare average time or even some specific times. The over/under for success seems to be around the 2.5 second mark. That could be a factor of Wilson picking up the rhythm better and it could also be he was given plays that developed quicker. Tennessee did not seem to develop the kind of pressure we saw in the first three weeks. I would expect to see Atlanta try to dial up the pressure that was missing this week if they have the personnel to do it.
archuleta promptly called that the Jets should run zone so he saw the same thing CJ did. I mean it’s good to trust the players who may see something Ulbrich didn’t because he clearly didn’t and CJ and an announcer did.
