Was Defense good against the Titans or am I being delusional?

They’ve gotten pretty good pressure all season

No at this point I say EDGE and or LB, OL, TE, and then maybe S. Those are the biggest team needs as of now.

The last two minutes in regulation was a shitshow.

Pass interference on 4th & 10... missed tackles on an inside screen... going prevent giving up easy passes.
Then not tracking Batson as he came across in motion to give up the tying td.

    Gotta clean that shit up.

Deep down I think we all knew they'd tie the game. Hopefully this is the season where they learn how to seal the deal in that situation.

Appreciate your balance. It's spot on.

1 - the game would have been completely different with Brown and Jones
2 - the Jets won an 11 on 11 game.
3 - the Jets' roster is still gelling, while recovering from 11 years of Idzik and Macagnan's criminal incompetence.
4 - the Jets are playing without their starting 2 safeties, and an extremely young secondary (our DL, minus Lawson, demolished their pass protection)

They played well. Tons of energy up front in particular. The D line is as advertised, Huff is looking a very able replacement for Lawson. Moseley looks a player that is worthy of his contract. Quincy looks like the right guy in the right place. The corners have held up and vindicated the decision to release Austin. Hall looks like a guy who can potentially match up with #1 receivers and a steal. Guidry is fast. The safeties didn't disgrace themselves, and bearing in mind that #1-3 on the preseason depth chart didn't see the field really (at least I didn't spot Davis or hear his name called) that's as much as you can hope for - even against a team missing its best 2 receivers.

Not the finished article by any means and there will be tougher tests but very promising for sure.

    Bryce Hall is a stud.
JFM should be offered an extension today. Not sure he would take it over seeing what the market has for him but I’d make the offer to at least start discussions.

This will be a good test of whether Joe is willing bend his spending rules to keep a potential all star in house.

Sadly I think Douglas isn’t going to enter a bidding war for him. Not with Lawson coming back and the line looking deep right now

If we let JFM walk because our pass rusher coming off a torn Achilles will be back then Joe might have to start packing some bags.

They really didnt run all over us. They started to gain some steam in the hurry up but largely Henry was contained.

Henry proved one thing to me this past game, he blows up when defenses are tired. It's part of the game, so all power to him, but he was largely nonexistent all of the first 3 quarters

I was pissed at this play, upon watching this replay though, Quinnen was blatantly bodied from behind, he was in position to potentially drop him for a 5 yard loss.... crazy how the refs missed that seeing how obvious it was.

They replayed this in slowmo, zoomed in on this very part of the play multiple times in the stadium. That gets called on the Jets if the situation were reversed.

Actually we don’t run screens so Nevermind.

I don't know if I'd count on Carl Lawson like that and let a guy like JFM go. JFM is the type of guy that would be pass rushing on those monster Giants Dlines that beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl. He's got the prototype size and quickness and now he's coming into his own.

I like Carl Lawson but he is and always will be an undersized edge for this scheme and I think he's probably a product of PEDs which means he will never stop getting injured.

They structured his deal as a 2 year deal with an option year, I doubt they pick up that option.

It’s all a matter of cap space ,Q is going to need a new deal too. Not sure we can allocate that much to the d line. Have to see how it plays out, which is why I’d offer a deal now and see if we can get him hooked for cheaper than it likely will be in March .

I’ve been preaching to wait and see with JD rather than burn him at the stake that the fanbase has been clinging too since season started. However if he lets JFM walk we got a whole another story.

JFM is up there with any of JDs best transactions since being named GM, the sooner he gets signed long term the better. He is a must resign.

i get what you're saying here, but he's a huge reason that the defense wears down. so while he sometimes doesn't pop explosive runs early, him being a battering ram is why he's able to do it later.

Absolutely offer him a deal now. What you’re explaining is why I’m saying JD should start packing bags if JFM isn’t a Jet next year. What needs to happen is obvious. Not pulling it off would be a huge gaffe.

The flip side is does jfm want to take a deal now? He has to agree too and he might want to wait and get wined and dined.
