Instead of starting Mike White who has exactly as much NFL experience as I do and if Douglas is not going to bring in a veteran QB why don't they at least bring up Josh Johnson. I realize Johnson isn't Drew Brees but, he's seen a lot of football and can certainly be a sounding board for Wilson, help to mentor him and give him some valuable pointers.

I think you are on to something, I think starting Johnson instead of white, maybe Zach learns something sitting. When I saw Johnson at camp, he was certainly the most decisive QB, by far.

Maybe 7-2 is because they played us. This point of the season is glorious for skewing statistics like that.

I was one of many that wanted a veteran QB here. Mike White would be wasting everyone's time. Zach's, LaFleur's, Saleh's, Jets fans. Let's get that running game going and throw the ball less. It ain't pretty, but the worse could be behind us.

The Jets problems are well above the HC level at this point and have been for awhile.

Mike McCarthy probably couldn't straighten the mess out. You need a CEO-type who knows football running the show with pull at the President level. You could split out some of the economic functions to a business executive but everything related to football, including infrastructure around the team should be under the purview of the CEO for Football Operations.

Mark Murphy is the level the Jets need help at.

You could take a guy who understands the different levels of football operations and put him in the lead role but he'd have to be good about hiring the right guys, not trying to do their jobs for them.

Not to mention Mccarthy isn’t a good football coach

The Cowboys coach I want(ed) was Kellen Moore. God forbid we hire an innovative offensive mind who game plans around his teams strengths and opponents weaknesses instead of pigeonholing players into his “system”

Trevor Lawrence looks pretty good tonight. Hopefully this is an omen for rookie quarterbacks playing well in week 4.

Were going to learn a lot about Wilson and the offense this week. They’ve been awful but they’ve also faced three top tier defenses. Titans defense isn’t good to say the least. If they don’t score points and keep this close, it’s going to be a long season

Sitting Zach is just a dumb idea.

He's gotta work through the issues he's getting & having.

It's painfully obvious he's lost confidence in his O-line... and the play calls aren't helping to relieve the pressure he's getting.
Post snap... half his attention is focused not getting killed... it leaves no room to go through his reads and do the little things... shoulder shrugs, look offs...etc.

Zach is a finesse player... he needs time to scan his options and get the ball out effectively. His throws have degraded since the pre-season... less accurate... more wobbly.
His mechanics have been shitty as well... we all can see why. The O-line sux...

Sitting Zach may well be the only way to save his career at this point.

A bad decision to start him from game 1 does not have to be compounded by leaving him on the field when neither he nor the offense is ready for that.

Sitting him does nothing if there's no one to learn behind. If we sign an experienced QB that might be an option.

Better O-line play along with play calls designed to ease the rush pressure is the near term answer.

Receivers that actually receive would help as well...

Sitting him does a lot if it keeps him from deciding that he sucks while he is also getting beaten to a pulp in the process.

Right now, whatever his public face is, he has to be wondering if he can play in the NFL and he is definitely taking a beating in the process.

It may seem like he would gain nothing from a respite but nothing could be further from the truth.

Not that I would have been cool with hiring a 12 year old at OC, but once Jerry Jones gets his hooks into a guy internally, nobody is going to hire the guy away, and I'm sure there's other strings Jerry can pull that don't specifically speak to outbidding a team for a contract.

Jerry basically took his backup QB and put him on his coaching staff. Poor guy is in the mental ward now.

You really think Zach is the type to lose faith in himself?

If anyone should sit it should be the greasy handed receivers...

I think another lousy game or two and he will be questioning everything. That's just what people do when they fail repeatedly.

Wait till we start taking away all his offensive weapons.
That's the typical Jets blueprint to really ruin a quarterback.

Mark Sanchez still flinches at random loud noises...
