Exactly. With the way our receivers have been dripping balls, we have a guy on the team drafted in the second round, who is tall, fast, and and caught the only pass thrown his way in 3 snaps for the largest gain this year. Get the man on the field!
Alright now I'm firmly on the side that Mims more than likely sucks but he needs to be active next week. As does Crowder assuming he's healthy. Berrios stays active as well.
This is becoming more bizarre by the week on a team that has scored 6 damn fucking points in two weeks, you mean to tell us that Mims can’t help? get the FUCK outta here
There is no way Mims can be inactive next week. Davis is fucking abysmal and I think that's an understatement. He's had TWO weeks with huge drops that could have absolutely changed the outcome of the game. Last week vs New England down 3-0 and then this week down 10-0. Disgusting performance from him. Hopefully we can add Mims and Crowder next week to this WR group. Also, Moore has a concussion so who even knows if he will be around next week.
Buuuutttttttt, he doesn't know the entire playbook cover to cover NOR does he know how to play every WR position as per our new resident HC savant. Mims doesn't drop passes so he couldn't possibly contribute since he seems to get, "gasp" separation on the routes he doesn't know how to run.
While it is possible he sucks and our coaches are right, I am not convinced. He seems to make impact whenever he is on the field - last year, and even this year, albeit with very small sample size. Also, some of the coaches' decisions puzzled me and turned out to be wrong, like starting Fant over Moses for instance. Everyone was surprised, and Moses played much better than Fant at RT in Game 1. Similarly I think there is a non zero probability Mims can also play better than some of the guys playing in his stead.
Sice our new CS are new, they get a mulligan on everything. They see improvement, we see Amateur Hour at the Meadowlands
As counterintuitive as it sounds, but Mims may be the only guy on this team who still has a chance to be a true #1 WR. Davis, a "bargain" signing before entering his prime, is simply not it. He is in his 5th season and it is clear he is just not a premier player. It was painful to see how Zach under pressure rolled to his left being chased, made an incredible pass right to Davis' chest for a huge gain with DB behind him, and he still could not come up with the ball. This is on top of causing INT last week, and key early drop in game 1. Bottom line, Davis may be OK utility player, but not a top notch WR. Mims may be. It's a travesty if he doesn't get a shot this week given the debacle we have seen yesterday.
We don't know that he's a goner, either! I practically guarantee you that if we trade Mims, he will be a star on his new team.
Oh I totally agree with you on that! .. clearly for reason we don’t know for sure this CS don’t want or like him …we’re watching drops every week meanwhile mims is not dressing.. if the CS finally plays Denzel and he plays well someone will have to explain why your most gifted WR didn’t at least dress …it will be a big indictment on everyone involved
Saleh will say that now that Mims learned, you see how well he plays - and take credit for keeping him off to help his development. Explanation will not be a problem. I just hope the coaches pull their heads from their asses and get the man on the field. Given how bad our WRs played, it has to be the only logical move. And if he does play well, there will be no issues explaining.
