His play calling has been horrible. Again, the other issues remain but his play calling has been shit
can anyone actually give an example? it's a general statement fans do. the offense isn't working? it's easier to blame the 1 calling the plays with no evidence or argument then it is to look at a combination of things. ll the stuff I went back and rewatched the play design was good. we are getting beat on the line with 4 rushers despite 7 in to protect and WRs are getting open but zach is forcing it to davis and not taking safe throws. every INT so far has been on the o-line, zach, or drops. all the plays had good options and designs. Sure maybe a few bad calls here and there but by and large he's not doing a bad job. the o-line not blocking well, the WR drops, and zach just misfiring and forcing balls are whats killing the offense. not the play calls
If we ultimately needed to move on from LeFleur, would Saleh even be able to do it? Aren’t they like best friends?
If the team is bad enough that Lafleur needs to go, my thought is that Salah would need to go as well.
What would we like LaFleur and Wilson to do with garbage like this? You can’t run a functional NFL offense when the QB needs to throw the ball in less than 2 seconds. Brady gets it out in 2.3 and Wilson isn’t Brady. EDIT: Just to add to this, Greg Van Roten is responsible for 15 of the 33 pressures, which is ONE more than Fant, Moses, and McGovern combined. Greg Van Garbage is almost single handedly killing our offense right now
LaFleur isn't accounting for how bad the OL is with his playcalling. He dialed up a bunch of short passes early in the Broncos game but that's pretty much the only time he's done so this entire season. LaFleur cannot keep calling the plays he has with how bad our OL is. There simply isn't enough time for them to develop. We need basically nothing but dink and dunk until our OL can play above a high school level in pass protection.
This is going to be a huge issue. LaFleur is Saleh's best friend's younger brother. This is a disaster in the making.
except he is. the amount of max protects we call is a ton. often having a TE and RB in to help blocking. we are losing even with 2-3 more blockers then rushers. that shouldn't happen in the NFL
We need to run a lot more quick hitters, misdirection, trickery, and especially more rolling out/ moving the pocket Wilson is just in shotgun, standard pass plays and the defenses are teeing off. The Oline is incapable of this but we keep doing it
funny thing about it, watch the WR who starts on the inside most. he delays is the 3rd man in the trail, then bursts upfield and is wide open. If zach escapes that or the blocking is better it's a huge TD
Max protect=/=short passes. When he calls max protect we have no one open. He needs to space our receivers out and call quick passes, he hasn't done that other than early in the Broncos game.
he has. teams are taking it away right away. they are forcing us to go deeper because they know we can't block. all DCs know they can get easy pressure on us without blitzling so it leaves plenty of DBs to take away the short routes and force things deep while the QB is under pressure. The o-line is making it impossible and we are falling too far behind early in games to establish a run game
Why are we running an empty backfield on 3rd and short or 4th and short? Why is Wilson in the shotgun in those instances with no one next to him? Why haven't there been more play designs with Wilson rolling out to his left or right? Why are three wide receivers running the same route within 1 yard from each other? Don't tell me all three receivers got the route wrong lol
