They go to the Superbowl that season if Tommy played.

Thanks for the clarification, I knew Ben was not rushed in his development, I had the wrong OC.

It's rather clear that the people who vehemently wanted Wilson over Fields cannot analyze either objectively. If anyone turned the Bears game on yesterday they would've saw a guy looking like Brady versus Von Miller/DeMarcus Ware. Instantly under siege against four man rushes on nearly every snap.

So much desperation to be right as this is the second time I've seen the same thing posted from two of the different usual suspects. *sigh*

Yes, but he was still not rushed in his development, as JV clarified, it was Ken Wisenhunt who made sure to not put everything on Ben’s shoulders.

You can develop a starting rookie QB, it simply has to be done correctly.

This coaching staff is immensely inexperienced, and therefore being outmatched.
The prior staff was grossly incompetent and borderline negligent.

This staff is off to a terrible start but still a much better option than the prior coaches.

I agree. I can have more patience when the mistakes are due to inexperience. At least there is a chance of things getting better with more experience. Crossing fingers.

It seems this offense is so complicated nobody can learn it. QB, Receivers, O-Line, RB and OC. It is not only the play calls but the play designs. LeFleur is out thinking himself and he should have a had a veteran coach helping him out. I keep harping on Knapp but how is Zach supposed to learn from LeFleur when LeFleur has no idea what he is doing yet. Knapp would hve kept Zach developing.

The hope is that LeFleur is learning on the fly what works and doesn’t as well as what his players are good and not good at. As the season continues I expect progress. If not, we may need to get someone else.

Yeah, that was a little post game loss sarcasm. I do believe he needs an offensive consultant.

    That is a reasonable expectation.

What is not reasonable is expecting playoffs and then wanting everyone fired in week 3 when you feel dumb for expecting playoffs.

His west coast style offense is especially bad when you think about this team and the way its constructed. The TEs are bad and there is no fullback. So when LaFleur trots out a 2-TE set (which he does alot) or a TE & FB set (which he wishes he could do a lot) these Jets are essentially playing 9 on 11 as he has players on the field that aren't NFL quality.

LaFleur needs to set aside his ego. The "boy genius" doesn't have anything special, it's just another variation of an offense that NFL teams have been seeing since the late 70s, long before he was born.
    -

Adjust to the talent on your roster, scrap your precious offense. Keep the awful TEs on the bench. Line up shotgun, single back with 4 WRs and go with quick developing passes and rushes. That would help the QB, that would help the offensive line and Johnson & Carter in the running game. And maybe.....just maybe... they score some touchdowns for once

I don’t care for comparing. However, if you are going to, I do care that you be truthful..

    Time to throw stats.

    Zach Wilson 3.02*
    Justin Fields 2.72
    Mac Jones 2.72
    Trevor Lawrence 2.84

I wasn’t talking about you. I was talking about the guy who initially brought Fields up.

I quoted you to let you know @Jonathan_Vilma & I were addressing the fact @Noam was making shit up about Fields in an effort to Wilson look better. That’s it and nothing more.
