Zach Wilson is a rookie. He has made rookie mistakes. That is expected for a 22 year old QB. But this offense he is managing is a fuckin joke. This falls at the feet of Lafleur. Fire him. His play calling is absolute dogshit
I don't think it is. At all. Through 3 games we have had the same problems. Over and over. Zach is suffering because of it and this offense hasn't scored a TD since September 12th
Yeah, already. If not now, no problem. Suffer the same shit week after week. And come to the same conclusion later
It’s a mess but it has to be given time to work out. Who’s coming here to be oc if you’re firing coaches 3 weeks in?
And who do you propose to hire? It's not all on one person. It's on many more than the OC. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
I said it in another thread. The offensive line is garbage, but what is he doing to help? Every single pass is Zach sitting in the pocket. If you know the offensive line is horrible, why won't you roll him out?!
Big drops by the running backs, Bigger drop by Corey Davis, penalties galore, stupid interference penalty in end zone on third down by Echols, Saleh pats him on back of helmet in a we will get them next time mode. Saleh is looking like another coach with the headphones on just cruising, we could have Kept Bowles or Gase to do this. Unload on these guys when they screw up, are you worried about hurting their feelings? You can get arena players to play like this, start unloading on people when they screw up!!!
I'll let Saleh and company figure that out. You can't put a shit product on the field every week and expect anything good to come out of it. If you believe in Wilson, Lafleur is going to ruin him.
LaFleur playcalling is looking like the scapegoat right now to me.... not much is going to happen when receivers drop the ball over and over and Wilson tends to misfire often.... there are plays where guys get open, the players on the field just can't execute.
If this continues, who do we end up taking#1 overall? I dont have any faith in the scouting department to actually get that decision correct.
LaFleur is a rookie OC that has been given two tasks that are both difficult for an experienced OC to accomplish. He's being asked to install a new offense with a new blocking scheme. He's being asked to bring a rookie QB up to speed in his first NFL season. I would argue that the combination of tasks would be difficult for the most experienced of OC's. It is extremely difficult for a rookie OC who is adjusting to leading an entire unit for the first time. Give him time and help him out by providing a veteran option or at least not the future of the franchise as the person to lead the install on the field.
Meh. The “I’ll let the management figure that out “ answer is alway a cop out . You know no one respectable would come here , nor is anyone really available in week 3.
Not y'all's savior! Everyone was so sure LaFleur was the best OC in the league before he ever called a play
I don’t think he should be fired, but he needs to change shit up. Get over yourself about Mims and use him. You’re a 34 year old first time coordinator and if this keeps happening it’s probably gonna be his last.
Just once, just once, I'd love to see an offense tailored to the strengths of our quarterback. He was drafted because of his ability to make plays outside of the pocket. You'd think they'd tailor the playbook to the guy they spent the 2nd Overall draft pick on.
