The guy had a ton of draft picks and the most cap room in the league. The roster is dogshit. And the quarterback he got rid of is playing like a star in Carolina, while the quarterback he drafted #2 overall looks like a bad version of Mark Sanchez. I'm still waiting for the "good" Douglas personnel decisions.
I agree. Douglas is not a good GM. Anyone that keeps saying he is simply comparing him to the other previous Jets GMs. He's not a good GM if you compare to other GMs in the league. He's a probably one of OUR better GMs in recent memory - which again doesn't say too much about if he's good or not. lol.
few things..... darnold's 2 game panther showing is a further indictment on the jets johnson, gase, and spanky..... wilson's 2 game jet showing is an incomplete - now we see why some teams establish a competent roster BEFORE getting the young QB. jones 2 game showing with the pats - he is the luckiest young QB to come around in a while and we see the difference an experienced HC/OC make.....and a better roster. oh well. another long year. lets hope after game 8 or 9 he executes a bit better. i think and hope so.
I think I clapped or cheered two times in three hours. Absolutely lifeless. This effort went over like a loud fart in a quiet church.
the depression is certainly enhanced by darnold's play in carolina and jones play with the pats. certainly following the usual same ole jet script. cheer up - he is going to be a very good QB- the real question is what team will he win with.
