Holy shit, talk about hard schedule. I guess that's what we get for the schedule we had this yr. Oh well, bring it.
I'm aware of that. I know how the system works of rotating what divisions you play in the AFC and NFC, then adding 2 teams that finished the same place as you in your division, from the 2 AFC divisions not included on the schedule. I was just surprised by how many tough opponents we have next year, jets can take them.
Anyone willing to sell me tickets for the Pittsburgh game? Always fun to talk shop with you guys before a game!
Giants vs Jets should be sweet. Def goin to that one with everyone I know. Bigtime tailgate. Can't wait for that
Thank God Tennessee finished ahead of Jacksonville in the standings. TEN is a much better matchup for us (I know things can change in the off-season, but JAX will still be one of the most physical teams in the NFL).
How come we go on the road to Baltimore? Didnt we play at their stadium last match in 05? We should be going back to Pitt, not Balt.....(Since the last regular season match with Pitt was that snow fest win in 03 we had at home).
Oops just remembered that loss. How do they decide which teams go to which at home or away though.
This schedule looks pretty rough, and it only makes it worse when I find out we have to go TO New York to play the Giants. If we had that one at home, we could easily win.
Jets vs AFC North in 2004 and 2007 vs AFC South in 2003, 2006 and 2009 vs AFC West in 2002, 2005, and 2008 Jets played at PIT and CLE in 2004. Hosted CIN and BAL in 2004. The reverse in true for 2007.
The formula: *Home & away vs division opponents #Four games against teams from another division in same conference on a rotating three-year cycle %Four games against teams from a division of the other conference on a rotating four-year cycle &Two intraconference games based on the previous year's standings (1st place teams play 1st place teams, 2nd place teams play 2nd place teams, etc.) from divisions the team was not scheduled to play that year as part of the rotation. 2007 Jets opponents *MIA, @ MIA, BUF, @ BUF, NE, @NE #CLE, PIT, @ BAL, @ CIN %WAS, PHI, @NYG, @DAL &KC, @TEN
No kiddin'? I love that schedule. All good games, and the opportunity for the Jets to beat our Cleveland demons. Every game is winnable, too. Jets-Dallas/Mangini-Parcells is gonna be awesome.
Lots of potential Prime Time games..... KC for sure, against the Eagles or Ravens, Titans.....etc.... we could be on national TV alot next season.
