The Patriots are as beatable as they’ve ever been. Yes we are really banged up, and really young, but I’m calling it: we are winning this weekend. I think Zach throughly out performs Mac and we get the job done… there I said it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think If we don't stop the pressure up the middle, it's going to be a very long day for this team. I don't know If this is the week, going against BB, that we correct our issues up front. I think we lose this one. Hopefully It'll be an injury free day either way.
We did much better in the second half of the last game… I think we will give Zach just enough time to make the plays we need Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It wouldn't shock me if we pull this off. But, a lot has to go right for it to happen. Zach needs better protection, our DL needs to put pressure on Mac, our WR's need to avoid dropping catchable passes, LaFleur needs to be less predictable, etc.....
Hot take.... If the JETS score more points than the Pats they win* * and if I go fishing offshore (ocean forecast is pretty flat) they'll win.... if I stay home to watch they'll lose Sorry about all the heat from 2 hot takes
I'd like to agree with you but during the Panthers game I remember feeling like we should've lost by 20. It will take a miraculous turnaround in our pass protection to beat the Patriots. They seemingly always have a pretty good OL which should help them neutralize the main strength of our defense, the DL. Then there's the whole Belichick vs. rookie QB's thing...
heart telling me we can win head telling me no chance at all Either way we are in for an afternoon of frustrating Patriot ass licking with Harlan on the broadcast, he is a Pats fan and a homer. This game has all of the ear marks of a potential embarrassment. With our new CS, I am hoping things are different, but I anticipate being out of my house by 130-2pm Sunday per usual. I have a bad feeing that we will make Mac Jones look like Tom Brady for sure. .
My feelings as well. I desperately want to believe our offensive line problems will magically fix themselves and Zach will dominate the Pats but the reality is it is likely to be a quite painful day. I will happily settle for a modest overall improvement over last week along with no more injuries.
Really, that’s a fans take every week or it should be. There’s nothing wrong with that. I want us to beat the Pats too. Reality is, winning this game is pretty remote. All I’m looking for is a good competitive game from us. A win is gravy. If we come out there looking like a bunch of rookies again, doing rookie shit…I’m not going to be surprised either. That alone could cost us the game.
I've got a funny feeling we'll be OK on offense but struggle to stop big-bodied, rumbling tight ends gaining yardage all afternoon.
I think if our OL struggles were largely miscommunication and "learning to gel" then our offense could see a marked improvement. Hopefully we are cleaning things up this week. I'd like to see more quick hits in the passing game. Crowder and Cole are both proven great short route runners. That should help a lot. More over the center snaps, with 3 step drops on passes, which will also help the running game. Maybe even a trimmed down playbook so we can walk before we run. If we give Zach half a chance he is going to move the chains.
They had a runningback playing quarterback. And two monster runningbacks/monster offensive lineman. They're going to be in two tightend sets all game long. Belichick is 21-6 against rookie quarterbacks and they shutout Herbert last year. I'm hoping this year is different.
Well the Vegas Line is up to Pats fav by 6 already and I am reading predicted scores like 28 -14 Pats to 22-17 New England Doesn't bode well but that's how Upsets happen right?
