The team must be looking at this as he takes up a roster spot but is not available for so much of the season.

Yeah, I normally defend guys about injuries but I don't think Cashman has managed more than a handful of games in a stretch before missing time. Some bodies just can't deal with the strain I guess. You have to think that he's gone as soon as the Jets find a capable body to fill in.

Am I wrong in liking the Morstead signing? He always been pretty solid and has a good leg.

    Plus he's kind of metal.

Yea, he will be out of the league after the Jets let him go.

I think it was a pretty good signing, but have some concerns. He had the worst year of his career last year and is used to kicking in a domed stadium. Hopefully, he'll be fine until Mann gets back.

Yep, I thought they should just use Ammendola anyway, but I guess this was the best option so that Ammendola's leg doesn't get worn out. Hopefully, starting this week, he'll be kicking a lot of extra points and kicking off more.

yeah hopefully. guess we were bialed out since he attempted 0 XPs and only kicked off 3 times in the game so he didn't have to do much as a kicker and could just punt

I know this is not specifically about the Jets but I just read that Frank Gore turned down offers this year so he could "focus on his boxing career".

I'll never understand players who likely already have a huge potential for CTE deciding to switch to a career where part of your job is being punched in the head repeatedly.

Maybe he's suffering from CTE already, therefore making dumb decisions like this

just more NFL roster moves I haven’t grasped yet. I’m sure Colbert played yesterday on specials despite him not being apart of the “active” roster.

I caught him on the field during defensive snaps as well. Hopefully he's back on the PS soon.

Was he bad? Redwine struggled a bit last week, I honestly didn't catch if Redwine started again alongside Maye....hopefully we hear something from Ashtyn soon. I believe he's due to come off IR as early as next week.

We really struggle at safety, don't we? Redwine looked bad, but not Bradley McDougald-bad
