And further to this post, you do realize that guys like Maye, Mosley, and Crowder are 100% expendeable when you are rebuilding a roster with young talent in the draft? You think paying a safety top dollar is wise when rebuilding a team? You think paying Mosley, a guy who has played one half of a game in two years, $16 million is logical? You think losing Crowder next year as an UDFA is wise when you can get more from him with a trade? Especially given that he is in a Wide Receiving corp that is 6+ players deep? If you are hanging your hat on Maye, Mosley, and Crowder as the litmus test for JD, you are clueless. JD will be judged by the players he drafts and the team he builds around those young players. He will not be judged paying high price veterans and shelling out millions of dollars on a position like safety when half your team still needs to be upgraded.
I think Morgan may have wanted panthers, he is on their PS, not roster Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think he means Adams is on the PS. I am sure Adams will bounce between the PS and the active roster as the year goes on.
I was referring to our 4th and 1 when he gave wesco the carry at FB and he lost yards and it was an awful play call. it was his only carry on the year. or do you not remember that? So slow the wrongs i'm correct reciting a factual thing he did.
Our TE room is just horrendous. Good on Douglas for admitting fault and cutting bait on awful picks in James Morgan and Zuniga I guess.
https://www.newyorkjets.com/news/jets-practice-squad-2021-season We signed Josh Johnson and Yeboah to our PS. Also Lamar is back
Bye bye Zuniga and Morgan, hardly knew ya, but Zuniga might go to PS. Perine next… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wow... what a dud of a day. I thought JD had a bunch of targets lined up to pounce on to upgrade the roster / PS and they basically just brought back their own. If TE is being de-emphasized in the offense then I tend to think there will be more tackle-eligible sets and lots of short crossing patterns by WR's / bleeding out by RB's to make up for the lack of quality TE's. edit... I have to wonder if this hurts the jet sweep plays as it will be pretty easy to diagnose especially if after the 10th time of using one of the remaining TE's as a decoy.
Might not be anything, it just doesn't add up to me. Unless they really liked Daniel Brown and Ryan Griffin and had them on hold while they worked the wheel on the Herndon deal.
I think that was the plan all along. I don't remember who reported it but I posted a tweet this morning that the plan all along was to bring back Brown and Griffin. Low and behold... here we are with the worst TEs in the biz.
