That's why I said months ago that he had a great chance to make the team. I had read several articles that said the Jets really liked him, thought he was a great fit for their scheme in that he was great with YAC potential, and is fast. I had forgotten to mention the dimension of his throwing passes since he is a former QB.
Evidently, the Jets don't agree with you. They think he still has potential or are keeping him until they find out whether they get another QB on whom they've put in a claim.
Did you see him play in college? I'm still shocked he wasn't drafted. He has a ton of physical potential. Where he might fall down some is on the mental aspect, and focus but he has great character.
Whoa! I'm shocked that Dawkins, Neasman, and Blair didn't make the team. Dawkins had been starting over Nasirildeen. The Jets must like a couple of LBs who have been cut already, because I think that leaves them with only 3 LBs. Neasman had a great TC and preseason. If he clears waivers, I'll bet he goes on the PS.
yeah smith always seemed a little better then the rest of the JAG WRs we had but I don't think he'll everr be more then a brad smith type of player. Which is fine. I think moore is gonna be special. davis is pretty great already too and mims and cole and rowder are nice guys to round it out

Yeah, I think he has a future with the jets. I just don't think he will be claimed by another team on waivers but I could be wrong. For sure he should be on our practice squad and could be on the 53 later this year.
