Totally agree--when was the last time an UDFA cut as a rookie was claimed? Not very often I bet. The only team remotely interested might be the eagles since he burned them twice.
The Jeff Smith news is interesting. Either they're keeping 7 WRs, or there is going to be a surprise cut somewhere. Cole/Mims/Berrios cut? Crowder traded?
If Jeff Smith makes the roster, he would likely be one of the first cuts if the jets use a few waiver claims. Jeff might hang around as a gunner on special teams because of his speed. I do NOT see him getting many snaps as a WR or on sweeps.

Probably both. I would imagine they have more than one TE name on their wish list for the waiver wire. No idea who it would be in trade other than Ertz.
Only slightly surprising one to me is Neasman. Thought he would stick. Hopefully this is a good sign for Ashtyn Davis' recovery though.
he was activated off PUP. Should be up to speed by week 2, I suspect he’s inactive against the Panthers.
IMO the final cuts show we will grab another TE soon. Backup QB is also a ? Maybe they plan on retaining Johnson or Morgan if they don't get picked up? Or maybe we are bringing someone in?
