This is the key. It’s not just making good deals, it’s making sure the bad ones don’t linger. Having dead money for 2 years after you had to cut a bust is what holds teams back. In that regard JD has been good so far.
Now that is sad, nearly as sad as a guy on the net remembering what Adam Sandler movie was your favourite
Not friend, BROTHER!!! It may not stop them. It could even be a competitive thing between them, but it could stop the Jets from signing him if they have interest.
The bold was the Achilles heal and the root cause for two years of misery. Gase had a strong hand on who he wanted to play and not wanting a bigger role for Anderson. JD had no choice but to support and work with that worthless hire, with an unworkable org structure led by an incompetent owner. Calih was a desperation late move when no one else was available at the beginning of the season after Mac left him shit for an OL. It was a risk and that was that. But that is all water under a bridge, and frankly I'm thrilled with our WR corps and what JD has done with the OL. On to the future.
In other news, the Pats placed Gilmore on the PUP list. Means not only are we facing Mac Jones in week 2, but we are also facing a secondary without Gilmore. Things lining up nicely for a quick 3-0 start to the season. That would be sweet
JD has to see how bad he is and how he could get Zach killed if he has to play. IMO it would be foolish in the extreme to keep him only because of the $3 million guarantee if there are better OL out there to be had.
Not so fast my friend, not so fast. NE D will be far better than last year. And Jones will no doubt be less mistake prone than Cam. But I like the way you think
I cant wait for the waiver wire to start clicking for us. It will tell us volumes if JD picks up a couple of back up OLs. Feeney is IMO at the top of the need improvement list.
It was a thing on Twitter or else I never would have remembered. Someone said the day he said Click was his favorite Sandler movie was the day he got carted off the field. The world works in mysterious ways.
I can 100% guarantee it will have no factor in JDs decision to sign him and if it does, it’s pretty embarrassing
From an actual source. Sucks because he was hands down the best backup QB we had in a room full of terrible backup QBs.
Good question. Maybe it was that he was mobile, had been a starter for SD, and could play C and OG, which gave some flexibility in terms of roster spots. As the saying goes, a players best ability is availability and he has only missed one game in his 4-year career, and that was in his rookie season. JD may have thought our CS could coach him up and make him better.
Oh I agree. Losing Gilmore is huge for Zach Wilson, which was my point. Yes, their defense is stacked, but not having to thrown in a secondary with Gilmore is going to be much easier.
