It does say in the NFL.com bit I posted that a player can only be promoted to the active game day roster twice. If the team wants to activate him again, he has to clear waivers before he can go back to the PS. I was disappointed in the Sporting News articles that they didn't discuss the matter of activating players from the PS and the issue of protecting players. Instead both wasted a lot of space listing PS player salaries. Who gives a crap about that?
Two cuts so far: Lamar Jackson and Lawrence Cager. Jackson stinks and Cager didn't stand a chance with the amount of WRs we have. I hope he ends up back on the practice squad though, there's definitely something there.

I disagree regarding Edoga. IMO Edoga is TOTALLY getting cut. He sucks! They have their swing tackle in either Fant or Moses. They don't need the likes of Edoga. Johnson and Shepherd, I agree with you on. I think Johnson will be that backup QB, and Shepherd is Fatukasi's backup.
Benardrick McKinney was released by the Dolphins. He's 28. He only appeared in 4 games last season, but started 16, 16, 16 and 14 games the previous 4 seasons in which he had 118, 90, 102, and 96 tackles. Any interest?
He was. But no hard feelings to the guy, but releasing him feels like washing away some SOJ stank. He didn't look like a good CB to me, even with coaching.

Yea but 6 years in the league with a 1-7 record along with a completion percentage of only 55% with an atrocious QB Rating of 61.7 and only 8 career TD passes? Poor guy never had a chance.
Here's a couple of guys I wouldn't mind the Jets to use the #2 waiver claim on. Definitely more interested in Moreland though.
