I think for sure it has to do with the realization that Ralebird is Cimini. It's no coincidence his tune now changes. At first I thought it was a fun joke that had some merit to it. Now I have no doubts it's him. Like zero doubt.
Johnson is arguably the best back on the roster right now. Going by camp reports , I doubt they’d bench the rookie who’s also the most explosive, Coleman is a possibility but I think they trust him the most in pass pro, and then there’s perrine. It’s a tough call I think either Coleman or perrine would be odd man out. Perrine is hurt right now though so it may sort itself out..
Cimini aka you, wrote a series of articles in the spring saying the Jets would regret trading Darnold that they were idiots and would regret it. He based these opinions initially on Kipers opinion that the Jets should keep Darnold and that it would be a mistake. Cimini otherwise known as Ralebird then went fully down the rabbit hole and put himself on the line adopting the keep Darnold do not draft Wilson as his own. Cimini argued vehemently that drafting Wilson wouldbe a mistake the Jets would regret it. He has then spent the rest of camp justifying that opinion by slanting his coverage taking small dig after dig at Wilson and JD. Since we all know you are Rich Cimini as you are his biggest apologist, parrot his beliefs, start arguments with every Jet fan on a daily basis, completely lack all logic skills, you're completely insane, and you do your best on a daily basis to attack Wilson and the Jets.
If Cimini has an account here it is almost certainly Ralebird and with the size of Ciminis ego it is likely that he does. There is no one who spends more time apologizing for Cimini than Ralebird while supporting all of Cimini's views than Ralebird. It is possible if not likely that Cimini has multiple accounts and that Ralebird is just one of a few. Can the mods please change Ralebird's name to Cimini/Ralebird so people actually know who is behind the account.
you dont understand. IF Cimini posted here he would post a bunch of super positive kool-aid Jet fan stuff. For the laughs and to understand what gets us going
lol--I have my questions if you're the original byz. You once posted about a 20th century American philosopher (I think it was on a different site) and we had a short discussion regarding this author. Who was it?
I was really feeling that vibe that "This may not be the SOJ after all, this time, maybe it is different!" But, the Lawson injury when he looked so good in camp, the Davis injury, Mims, not doing much of anything all brought me back to this: They are the SOJ until they prove otherwise. That said, I will still watch every game, no matter how excruciating it may be, AND I really hope they prove me wrong!
This is a fair point. The only thing I will say is that teams have injuries all the time, not just the Jets. The saying SOJ is not about us having injuries before, but now we don't have them. It's about the team culture, coaching, mindset, and also I would add not having a FQB to that mix, just because we haven't had one since Namath. I feel that JD, Saleh and his staff, and also Zach Wilson (fingers crossed) is what makes this team different from SOJ. Yes, Lawson was a blow, but this doesn't change things on the macro level. If it happened to Zach Wilson, I could see your point, but as of right now, I for one am pretty excited to see the Jets start the turnaround, which will result in being a play-off contender again as early as next year.
SOJ is about the entirety of the franchise from Woody all the way down. It's the constant feeling that if something can go wrong, it will and that feeling being proven right so many goddamn times. Its the bone headed draft picks, idiotic coaching hires, Darnold getting mono (how many fucking starting qbs have missed time because of mono in the last 30 yrs? 1. Just fucking 1.), losing Vinny in the 1st game of the season, Mosely going down in the 1st game 2 yrs ago...and I could go on and on. So when the jets bring in a prized free agent who looks like an absolute beast, and sign him to big $ and he gets hurt, that's the SOJ.
this is fun can i be schein? No one: Schein: stridently states made up bullshit with no evidence to support it
nailed it! this is exactly right…out of the blue freak shit…seriously…mono? WTF? Of COURSE the first pass rusher we sign in 15 years goes down before the season. Because Jets.
I understand. Injuries and sickness are killers for players and teams. I don't think this will be the SOJ, however. For certain, there will be ups and downs this season. We have a rookie HC, OC, QB and perhaps as many as 11-12 rookies and 1st year players starting. There will be bumps in the road. The difference for me is that by all appearances, we finally have a comepetent, professional GM who knows how to evaluate talent and how to build a team. We also have what appears to be a great CS and a lot more talent than we've had in years. I believe that the future is bright and if all goes according to plan, we should be a playoff contender next season, and will be more competitive this season. If nothing else we should have a professional, modern NFL offense that should give our team a chance to succeed.
