I dont know if you guys heard or not but Vinny Curry is done for the season.... Brian Costello @BrianCoz Vinny Curry is done for the year. He would have been eligible to return if placed on NFI after the cutdown to 53 next week. Since it is before, his season is over. 1:24 PM · Aug 24, 2021·Twitter for iPhone
Wow we have had some devastating injuries already. Lawson, Curry and Davis. Q has been injured all off season. We need a lot of Saleh magic.
I hope we get a refund--wtf Edit now I just read he has to miss minimum 8 games but not out for season--this makes more sense.
as they should. puking is a sign of a concussion. might as well test him and be safe to make sure it is or isn't
Your guess is at least as good as mine my friend--Here is the source I used: https://elitesportsny.com/2021/08/24/jets-vinny-curry-reserve-nfi-list/
Connor Hughes is reporting he asked the Jets directly and they said he's done for the year. No argument
I don't think that's right either. amari cooper was placed on the NFI list in july and then activated off of it a few weeks later in august
If he's done for the year without even taking a practice rep, how the hell does he get paid on his contract? Will the NYJ really just pay the man?
Even tho the NYJ have been played by players in the past (Santonio Holmes 10 mill comes to mind), I think they will pursue an injury settlement for far less--Curry entering into a contract while unfit to play can be considered fraudulent but maybe he crossed all his t's and got them to ink it.
it's worded odd as usual and we don't have all the details yet. it is looking like he's done for the year but i'll wait for more confirmation then 1 beat writer saying it when there are about 10 all reporting something different. hopefully JD clarifies it with a quote to someone. but it's odd to sign a guy and then say he'll play week 2 or 3 then IR him for the whole season before the season starts. something odd is happening here, i'm getting osemele vibes all over again. at least we didn't pay him much
