Curry is old man river and Huff isn't very good. They might be picking people up off the street if one doesn't shake loose from another team and even at that they'd be starting someone that wasn't good enough to make another team.
Vic Beasley, Bruce Irvin and Adrian Clayborn are still unsigned. These are the only ones I really know of from the unsigned FA list.
Let one of the young guys play, no point picking up a vet off the street, pointless, this team isn't going anywhere this year, let them the young guys evolve
Awful, just awful news. Man, even with nothing but optimism flowing, the NYJ can still find a wet blanket...
Saleh is no stranger to dealing with injuries and still being able to thrive. The 49ers ranked No. 5 in total yards allowed last season despite the losses of Nick Bosa, Solomon Thomas, Dee Ford, Richard Sherman and Ezekiel Ansah because of injuries. Bryce Huff, an undrafted free agent last year out of Memphis, is the favorite to get an opportunity to replace Lawson as a primary pass rusher for the Jets. From Cimini
Bummer. Hope he can heal. His pre season production got me excited. Aghhhhhhhh will this cloud ever lift?
Curry is the back up and is "OLD" and Huff isn't very good. Raiders signed Vic Beasley for about $900k so he could come cheap enough and he's only 28. This defense works only with pressure and Lawson was that guy. Beasley, if he's right, would be a nice fill in. The last thing this team needs is to expose the secondary by starting Huff or Curry
I didn't know Lawson was that injury prone. Not sure why JD took such a huge risk with a guy with that kinda medical history. We might be looking at another CJ Mosley here.
Huff isn't very good? Please. Try keeping up with TC reports and how players are actually doing before posting erroneously ignorant comments. Thank you.
Exactly! We have Huff, JFM, Zuniga, and maybe Hamilcar Rushed will get a shot. We have Curry and Blair. There's zero reason to sign some old, over-the-hill player.
No, that's not gonna happen. None of the rest may be as good as Lawson presently, but we have some young players with a lot of potential in JFM and Huff, and then there's Zuniga and Rashed. Blair can apply pressure as well, even though he's primarily a run stopper. With Q and Rankins and even Fatukasi applying pressure from the inside, we will get pressure.
