DAMN!!! I hate it for Lawson, for Saleh, for Zach, for the Jets, and for us. We just can't catch a break.
That was probably the question even with Lawson healthy. I don’t think the pendulum swung that far off course based on today’s unfortunate news.
achilles don’t work that way. They are usually non contact type injuries…they legit snap or pop. The pop is tendon popping away from where it’s connected at. In a case like Durant, he had a strained calf that directly led to his Achilles rupturing. Lawson likely just took a step and the achilles got stretched and ruptured. It truly sucks.
That just goes to show how innovate and great the Johnson’s are for insisting in off-set language on everyone’s contract!
Gotta love the pre season. If I had the stomach for it I’d go back 30 years and count how many starters we’ve lost for the year during pre season. I’m thinking a lot

Cam Wake. Tore his Achilles at age 33 during the season. Came back the next year and had 11.5 sacks and 10.5 the following year. Lawson is only 26 years old.
Truly unlucky. Truly SOJ like. I will say. At least with Mosely and Lawson, they looked the part. They were showing they were the real deal. Injuries though. Every year. Its always something. Damn. Wishing Lawson a speedy recovery, you can tell the kid was excited to play and be a Jet. It's got to be hard for the kid too. At least he made his money I guess. We still miserable out here as fans and most of us are literally paying for It. Yikes.
