If he's not dominating his man, if he's getting beat by his assignment, nobody else is to blame for that. If you don't do your job, It doesn't matter what anyone else Is doing. We aren't hearing about anyone else on that line giving up this many sacks per practice. At some point. Concern Is warranted. I believe we are there. If not, we're damn close.
I don't think JD wanted a tackle this draft at all. Darrisaw was rated above Jenkins and that is who Minn. took with our 23rd pick. Jenkins went pick 39 and some people were upset we took Moore over him. Where are people getting this Jenkins/AVT connection? Jenkins having a bad back didn't make AVT a better trade.
I'm going to go ahead and sound the alarm on Becton. I think we've seen enough red flags with him where it's fair to do so at this point. An LT taken as high as he was shouldn't be struggling this much. Combine that with the weight issues and I'm really sour on him currently. He just seems unprofessional. I'm not saying he can't improve or doesn't have a high ceiling. I was concerned about his pass protection coming out of college though and it seems it's very much still an issue. Not a great problem to have with a rookie QB.

As concerning as it is to hear about Becton's struggles in camp, I need to check myself and am going to try to reserve judgment until he's actually playing real games. One beat writer suggested he's practicing new moves or something? Who knows. It's different in a real game. Let's see how he looks as the regular season goes on.
Saleh told us it was going to get worse before it gets better. There are some positives. -No INTs by Wilson. -The running game flashed. -Wilson and Davis developing chemistry. -Davis and Huff flashed. -Wilson continues to make plays on 3rd down. -We will be getting Q, AVT, and Moore back at some point, all of whom can make huge contributions.
