Good post. But 5th on the depth chart for a WR is a scary place to be when you dont play special teams like Mims. I doubt he gets cut because the front office has egos, but... that's a fringe spot for him to be in
With all due respect, the thing you nay sayers/critics are missing is that the team and CS don't operate on your schedule, and could care less what you think about the team or individual players at this point. They know what they're doing in terms of developing players and getting players ready to play. We don't. So for any of us to say that player x needs to show this by a certain date is silly. That's fan thinking arbitrarily making shit up. No matter how knowledgeable we think we are about the game, we don't know as much as they do, and we aren't privy to all their thoughts and actions. Saleh doesn't give a rat's ass what you or I think of how he does things or when you expect Zach to show something. Zach doesn't give a rat's ass, and JD doesn't give a rat's ass. Our expectations don't matter one whit. The only thing that matters is once the season begins, and even then, this is a rebuilding year, and there is no playoff mandate or expectation, and the team is going to be evaluating a lot of young players. Young players make mistakes, their performance is inconsistent and uneven. Wins and losses are not the most important things this season. Of course they're going to try to win as many games as they can, but they're going to be focused on getting better and learning, and if that happens each week, they'll be satisfied, regardless of whether they won or lost that week. They're going to surprise some teams, but also probably lose to some teams that they should have beaten. You might as well accept that and put your expectations away; otherwise, you're going to drive yourself and everyone here nuts. You have no control over the situation, nor should any of us.
BS. Woody Johnson and Joe Douglas read this website religiously and make many decisions based on suggestions they get from posters
yea Crowder is probably toast after the season. Interested to see how Cole looks. I never watched any Jacksonville games to know if hes any good
Mims is right now a disappointment. No question about it. Can he become a star Yes However he is fighting for a roster spot right now
And all this time I thought I was running the Jets via my posts. What a bummer. Seriously though, I’ll never get the “organization doesn’t care what you think” takes particularly on a fan forum. Whether I agree with posters or not, I doubt very much they believe the Jets organization is their audience when they post. As far as I’m concerned the author of such takes is indirectly telling you HE/SHE doesn’t care about what you have to say under the premise of educating you about what the organization thinks. No shit the Jets don’t care. If such a direct line of communication existed between fans and the organization, message boards would cease to exist. Let me not be so definitive. Maybe there are posters out who thought they were influencing the Jets & just found out the Santa isn’t real. Merry Fucking Christmas!
It doesn't, and nothing I said was disrespectful, it's just the truth, pure fact. NFL GMs, HCs, and QBs don't care what we fans think of how they should look in TC or by a certain date. If you feel disrespected, it's because you want to be disrespected. No disrespect was intended or committted. I was just being real. Sorry if that gets in the way of your agenda.
The first statement is ugly and the supporting evidence of Madden ratings is even uglier dude. But you do you.
I think telling fans on a message board the organization doesn’t care about what they think as if they don’t already know is tad bit disrespectful. LOL
As bad as the Jets have been, they might actually do better if they did follow what we say here. The problem is there isn't usually a consensus haha
I have to come back to this because I can't believe you whipped out the ol' Madden ratings as supporting evidence. Jacob Eason might throw the hardest ball in the NFL and he has a point higher throw power than Cam Newton who could barely throw the ball twenty yards last year. You previously said that Sam Darnold has an arm on par with Rodgers and friends and he's six points below Wilson in terms of throw power (THP). Mitchell Trubisky throws a horrible floater ball at all times and he has a higher rated arm than Roethlisberger, the same as Dwayne Haskins Jr. and only two points below Jordan Love. I don't know if you play video games but they manipulate certain attributes in order to get certain players overall ratings to be at a certain spot especially with starting players.
