Then I'm glad that you aren't the GM! With all due respect, trading that much for a player where his team has already given up on him after one year is nuts!
Yes, trading our #6 WR and a 2nd round pick for the best CB in last years draft is nuts. Not sure what I was thinking.
Seriously? If Henderson was that good, Jacksonville wouldn't even be considering trading him. There is obviously a big problem there. Either he is uncoachable, is lazy, has major character concerns or something. Mims is only the #6 WR at the moment. He is coming on. He has Davante Adams-type potential, and you want to just give up on him and burn a 2nd round pick for a head case that Jacksonville no longer wants to deal with. SMH
not really concerned. I feel bad for him but he'll work his way back and on the plus side has 0 pressure to go out there and produce ASAP as we are deep at WR.
apparently he's a bit of a head case who never wanted to be in jax in the 1st place and told them pre draft and after they drafted him. Now they have a new regime (HC and GM) and they want to get rid of players that don't want to be there.
What can I say, I guess you’ve met him more times than I. For you to know he’s a head case you must know many people who’ve had conversations with him; I sadly have not. I defer to your first hand knowledge in the matter.
What reports say he's a headache? https://www.bigcatcountry.com/platf...henderson-back-at-practice-coaches-encouraged Not every player that gets traded is a locker room problem.
I seen it on the NFL reddit. was being discussed in the thread by lots of jags fans. They weren't even mad at him, mor emad at the GM who wasted a pic on a player that didn't want to be there, but also apparently has some crazy shit on twitter that he had to delete several times. Here is an old thread about some of it https://www.reddit.com/r/Jaguars/comments/icohlm/cj_henderson_goes_on_a_weird_twitter_rant_about/ he's also had some injury issues too. between not wanting to be there, being a bit of a ehad case, and injuries i'm not sure i'd want to give up anything more then a late fick as a flyer. and I doubt jax will take that so no point in looking at him really
Dude. What are you TALKING about? Henderson did not have a good rookie season. It was atrocious. He missed 8 games last year. And during the 8 games that he did play? He got picked on. Used and abused. Targeted 51 times with only 1 INT and allowed 33 completions which is a completion percentage against of 64.7% (awful). Also 443 passing yards allowed (55 yards allowed per game) and 4 TDs against. His coverage rating of 110.2 was worse than Jamal Adams' 104.7 (the higher the rating the worse the player). Bryce Hall as a Rookie last year = DB Rating of 97.7. How can you sit here and say "Henderson was the best Rookie CB" when even our own Bryce Hall was, much better? @NCJetsfan is 100% correct for not wanting a CB who's already being Quit on. The two best Rookie CBs were L’JARIUS SNEED of KC and CAMERON DANTZLER of Minnesota. And it wasn't even close... You saying "Henderson" was the best Rookie CB shows me you just like to argue with people. Kind of like how you tried to convince people "George Fant" was better than Morgan Moses...
What’s with you always misquoting me? I assume you can read; god knows you can write… and write… and write… and write… Trading someone who was injured half of the season and hasn’t lived up to his potential, for Henderson seems pretty straight forward. He was the best CB in his class. (Then) He is not the CB with the best rookie year (Now) IDK if he’ll have the best career (Future) He was the best CB in his class
How are we saying hasn't lived up to his potential when he missed half a season and played in a garbage offense for the other half? I said this in another post, but his YPC would have been top 15 if he qualified and his YAC/reception was adequate.
The “adequate” YAC would put him dead last on 49ers WR group when separating by YAC. If you’re saying Mimms has lived up to his potential I’m pivoting from I hope he works out to trade him immediately.
Exactly and WRs are kind of dependent upon their QB and play caller to get passes thrown their way. Sam couldn't find a whale on the football field, and even if he could, he couldn't hit him. If Flacco had been our QB all season, Mims' stats would have been a LOT better, probably at least twice as good, and maybe 3-4 times better. For anyone to say that he hasn't lived up to his potential is just flat out ignorant, and to want to trade him at this point is just flat out dumb, and that's as nice and respectful as I can say it. Did he put up the stats we thought he would last year? No, but not having OTAs, mini-camp, an abbreviated TC and no preseason had a HELL of a lot to do with that. Adding having an awful HC and QB made it practically impossible for him to have lived up to his potential. Thank God, JD, Saleh, and LaFleur are more knowledgeable and have more sense than some posters do.
So to clarify, a WR who hasn’t lived up to expectations needs time to develop but a CB who hasn’t lived up to expectations is a headcase and a bust? Got it, makes total sense.
