Well for one Tom Brady immediately won a SB during his first year starting in N.E (2001) just like he won another SB during his 1st year as a Buccaneers QB etc. Also, Josh Allen is heading into year #4 with 0 SB's (Tom Brady had 2 SBs during his first 4 years in the league and 3 SB wins during his first 5 years in the league) etc. Last but not least Josh Allen has played in 4 career playoff games and he's been mediocre during 3/4 of those playoff games. Put it this way. Sanchez had 6 playoff games after his first two years of 2009 and 2010 and even MARK SANCHEZ played MUCH BETTER (during the playoffs) than "Josh Allen" has thus far. Josh Allen is nothing like Tom Brady. And Buffalo is nothing like New England. And Josh Allen will probably never win a Super Bowl (and neither will Buffalo).
No Brook! Don't never lock this thread because it's going to go down as a legendary thread and the Thread of the Year! Hope you get better soon our Jets brother thnx you for all you do as our TGG crazy Referee!
For real! Lol I understand the frustrations with this fan base, I am in it with you all, but these reactions to a damn scrimmage are next level ridiculous
I've already written this season off in terms of playoffs, so if it happens it's just gravy. I wanted to see a roster overhaul this year and they did it well in the draft by all reports and brought in a bunch of hungry young second term players in FA. A lot of the key personal on defense appears to be in place, although LB and corner this year will hold them back, it's not going to be like when Rex caught lightning in a bottle in 2009 and they eeked into the playoffs by the skin of their teeth. They weren't rebuilding back then, they just re-tooled the roster and drafted a QB. Unless Zach Wilson really stinks the place up, I am prepared to enjoy the hell out of watching all these young kids fly around and find their way here in 2021
if i may? no. hyperoverreaction is the new norm. it is THE level where an IDIOT like Steven A is hollering BS atthe camera is an everyday thing? ESPN was cool. like " AHA! MORE sports! Thats great." Now its 24/7/365 and what is the HEADLINE when there is no real news?
100% agree It's just crazy seeing this reaction regarding a rookie who has literally been in the NFL for 8 days when this scrimmage happened. I mean, I get it, the frustration building with this fan base has been long in the making, but this after a scrimmage?! I mean, this is next level ridiculous. I can understand the frustration if this is the case going into his second year, but 8 days?! What in the fuck
Of course it's highly unlikely lol If you thought it was "likely", you are fooling yourself. But that means nothing to me. If the Jets make the playoffs, that's an insane turnaround. One I do not expect but would welcome. The idea is to improve the roster year over year and get better progressively with a franchise QB
Now you know me Falco... I don't ever delude myself when it comes to the Jets. This was a 2-14 roster and until they win their 3rd game, they still have to prove otherwise. I'm not a dream killer so if folks want to believe that '21 will be Sunshine and Rainbows, who am I to blow that up...
and if peeps are getting too high or too low... you know they aintthe ones you should be tawking football with. yeah.. we're Jet fans... so the frustration. but we SPORTS fans first and fans of our teams 2nd? Havent we been observing a long time?
