Theres no other way to compare them. How do you think strength of schedule is determined? Of course it’s not a perfect science, but it’s better than nothing. I see your point regarding big WR, but that’s only one part of the game. I think overall the first part of the schedule sets up pretty nicely for them.

NE may have 2 top TEs, but they have huge question marks at QB. Cincy has the QB and WRs, but their OL sucks. Atlanta has a good, but older QB, their WRs aren't anything to be afraid of, and I'm not sure that there OL is any great shakes. Denver has talented WRs, but I'm not gonna worry about a "serviceable" QB. Their OL may not be very good, either.

I believe our pass rush is going to be dynamic and our offense very effective. It will be able to sustain drives, eat up clock, and put points on the board. It will also be able to score quickly. When we have to punt, we should be able to pin teams deep this season. The biggest question mark for me aside from our CBs is our K.

Allen was incredible last year but I do need to seen him do it again.

It’s like you you 0 reading comprehension.

I didn’t go from big WR to big TE… My post said big receivers.

Once again, you speak of opposite records last year as if it’s the end all be all but don’t apply the same standard to the Jets.

If you think Borrow is trash, I stand by my lack of football knowledge comment.

I didn’t mention the schedule being “hard”.

I’m talking about something specific and you change what I’m saying to fit into what you want to hear. I’ve gone on the record as saying the Jets will be playing the Bills for the title week 18.

Out of the 4 WR who are making the most noise, only 1 is 6’1’. Guidry, Carter, and Echols are all under 5’11’. I don’t know what to think of Bless atm.

I’m as optimistic as anyone this season and I’m curious and excited to see how Jets will handle the teams who strengths line up against our weaknesses.

You guys both have high aspirations for the Jets. Why can't you just state your opinion and disagree with his without being so disrespectful? Is it because you have a prior beef with him?

Never said Burrow is "trash" I simply stated he's coming off a serious ACL injury, struggling in Training Camp because of it and even @ 100% his Bengals couldn't win.

I get where you're coming from but I see them as a team who can potentially fall off a 2022 NFL cliff this upcoming season and I'm far from sold on them.

I do not fear Buffalo and Josh Allen as I once feared both N.E and Tom Brady for 20 years. Not even close. And imo they aren't deserving of being handed the keys to the AFC East.

C.J. Mosley, Carl Lawson, Quinnen Williams and coach Robert Saleh are coming for that ass.

And Josh Allen has proved nothing outside of being a regular season QB. He's 2-2 in the playoffs and 2 of his postseason games were awful and 1 was mediocre (below average at best) so in other words he's failed to impress throughout 3 of his 4 postseason games. I'm not sold on him.

And yes. I believe as a YOUNG QB he was blessed with playing in an empty stadium with no crowd distractions along with perfect communication amongst his offense (while going 6-2 on the road).

His 1st and 2nd seasons looked NOTHING like his 3rd year last season during a Covid 19 tainted NFL season with no fans rooting against him while on the road. K.C? Different story. Rabid fans in the stands. And he absolutely, stunk.

Just my opinion man but we'll see what happens this upcoming season but I have a strong feeling Josh Allen comes crashing back down to NFL earth and Buffalo falls off a 2022 cliff because of it.

So it will take more than one good season from Zach Wilson before you can say his is good, correct? Just be consistent.

There’s no other way to compare them? That’s bs.

Either you compare both opponents AND the Jets with last years record.
    OR
You compare both opponents and the Jets taking account what changes they’ve made and how you like those changes.

You can’t mix and match the way SmashMouth did.

No. Because he'll be playing on the road with rabid fans in the stadium making crazy amount of noise. Won't be no walk in the park.

I want to see Josh Allen this year do what he did last year (in EMPTY STADIUMS) before I'm a believer. Because right now I'm just not.

I don't believe he's as good as he looked last year and I just have a feeling he'll prove me right this upcoming season.

The prior beef is that he has no reading comprehension and that hasn’t changed. He consistently twists what I say to fit his narrative.

I say receivers. Then he acts like I’m changing the discussion when I include receiving TEs.

I’m not going to let someone twist my words and not call them out. Too many people get a pass when speaking half truths.

The kid can copy and paste with the best of em but god forbid there’s a conversation which involves critical thinking.

Fair enough. But does he need to replicate his exact stat line to change you mind? Or will a passer rating of 100 and a 63% completion rate do it? By the way, they still pumped some "crowd noise" into the stadiums. It's not he was playing in silence and be did line up against trans that still wanted to beat him.

I feel like too many people are sleeping on the Bengals.
They upgraded the weakest part of their OL (their IOL) and drafted the most complete WR in the draft who also happens to have set records with their current QB. Their strengths match up well with our weaknesses.

That being said, our DL is still better than their OL and our O is better than their D.

I still think we pull off a W but it’s going to be a shootout not a cakewalk.

So when you quote me, do it right. If we play the Bengals and we hold Borrow to under 250 yds in the air, that’s when you call me out.

Maybe I'm wrong but it's my story and I'm sticking to it. I'm not doubting his talent. He's got a great arm. He's mobile. I'm just doubting his mental focus in terms of having perfect communication amongst his WRs/RBs and especially O-linemen.

The easiest way for me to explain my own mental theory is this...

    • When you're the home team right. Your fans in your stadium act like wild animals on Defense and why? It's to distract the opposing offense and especially their QB, right? No perfect communication is allowed.

    • When you're the home team ok. And as fans you're team and QB is on offense. Before every play we exercise our right to remain silent, right? And why? It's to give our Offense and especially our QB perfect communication in order to execute their cadences especially for silent counts, right?

That's the easiest way I can explain it man.

Remember 1997's week 17 game vs. Barry Sanders and our Jets man? I know 100% you watched that game. I was there. It's the only road game I've ever been to (outside of Jets vs. Buccaneers). I was 12 years old. The ride home was miserable but that's besides the point it was 23-24 years ago so I can't remember how many times it happened but Neil O'Donnell was distracted. He was complaining. He couldn't get the ball off. He couldn't hike the football. He couldn't communicate with his offense inside of that Detroit dome. I've still never seen anything like it not even 20+ years later not even in Seattle with their 12th man. The refs stopped the game (pre-snap) at least 4 or 5 times. Detroit's fans were being too loud (stupidest rule in Football imo). The refs got on the microphone and warned Lions fans to quiet down (to shut up). And it didn't work. It got even louder and louder. The refs once again threatened to penalize Detroit for their crowd noise. It didn't work. Detroit players/coaches had to then step in and tell them to stop it. I never seen anything like it before man and ever since then as a 12 year old kid? I've been convinced that it's harder to win on the road for QBs because that 12th man is a game changer (just ask Neil O'Donnell).

You should be doing both things, I agree. Good point. I should’ve said that last years record should not be the only thing used, just that that is what’s usually used when citing strength of schedule.

Warren Sharp, who uses forecasted win totals and Vegas over/unders, has the Jets exactly middle of the pack in terms of SOS. I really don’t think their schedule is that difficult. Other than Titans, Bills and Bucs I don’t see teams that are definitely going to be better than the Jets.

When was the “fans can’t be too loud” rule implemented, because I’ve been watching football for 25 years and I’ve never seen that one.

So here’s my thing with all this: do you think Justin Herbert is going to come back earth too? He had the same circumstances Allen did last year?

Go back and watch the 1997 week 17 game vs. the Lions and you'll see it. That's the first and only time I've ever seen it happen.

I wouldn't doubt it because he probably had the greatest rookie season of All-Time. 2021 could become much different for him.
