At least the Mets play in the worst division in the NL. If they were in any other they would be 8+ games out of 1st. The bad news is that they basically need to win the division because the chances of winning the wild card are slim.

Why take out Hill? God forbid one of the starters goes more than 5 innings.

Wtf do we do with Conforto next year? Qualifying offer? Isn't that like 20 mil? He's not durable and he's coming off a horrendous season.

Phils 1/2 game behind, Braves 1 1/2 games behind. Is there anyone who doesn't think that the Mets will be out of first place by this time tomorrow?

So Rojas complains that the Mets hitters were clearly unprepared for the type of pitcher they were going to face, then suddenly backtracks when he realizes that it's the manager's job to make sure players are prepared. Time to think about who the manager will be next year, since I can't think of a single reason why it would be this clown.

First move this off-season let Conforto walk. Baez too, great move bringing him in to strike out every other at bat.

He’s never been the same since he started pulling everything a couple years ago when he hit 30 homers. When he came up he hit to all fields and looked like a foundation guy. Last season he looked almost like that again but it was only 50 plus games.

Diaz is in a non-save situation..........this should end well.

As anyone in the universe could have predicted, look who is out of first place after 90 games.

They’ll fall like 5-6 games back then end up making a “run” again, get close and blow it, because it’s the Mets.

No hitting and no pitching. The fact that we were in 1st for so long was amazing.....although, it was all smoke and mirrors.

I seriously want to ask again to my fellow Mets fans, what do we do with Conforto?

Let's keep putting Diaz in non save situations. I mean his era clearly shows that's a great idea. Would Diaz stop pointing to the damn sky like it’s just a routine fly ball. I mean it's clear as day gonna go out the park dude!
The warts on the team has been obvious but fans clung to we're in first place to combat those feelings. Can no longer cling to that.

I was never a big baseball fan as a kid born and raised in Queens but as a Rays fan I always root for the Mets just because I'm from Queens and I'm pulling for you guys.

Yes it stinks for you guys how NYM had 1st place locked up all year long but the good news? Only 1.5 back of 1st with a chance to beat Philadelphia today and regardless you guys are in postseason contention here in August and that's fun in itself.

    Rays vs Mets.
    2021 World Series.
    Battle of the underdogs.
    Rocky 1 vs. Karate Kid.

Either way it's a win win for me. Me and my daughter will Celebrate a Rays Championship and go to a victory parade here in Saint Petersburg or I'll be able to witness a Queens celebration.
