Just based on last season, what Becton needs to work on is his lateral movement. He is too slow moving sideways. He needs to work on his footwork and reflex speed.

Lawson is smaller than 80-90% of Edge rushers and quicker, so it makes sense that Becton would struggle with that at first.

 

I said last year that I loved Huff and thought he had a real future with this team. LOVE it!

 

12 really good players with only 9 maybe 10 spots. Cuts will be really difficult. Curry might start the season on the pup list saving 1 spot.

 

Yep he got beat by Ferrel and Garrett on multiple occasions last year. So hopefully going up against Lawson every day will hone his skill.

 

I couldn't agree more. Depending upon whether everyone stays healthy, I think the 8 definite keepers are Lawson, Q Williams, Fatukasi, Rankins, JFM, Huff, Curry, and Shepherd. Who the 9th and possibly 10th are will depend upon whether the Jets think Jonathan Marshall will make it through waivers. Those two players will either be Ronald Blair and Jonathan Marshall or Blair and Kyle Phillips.
