My face got messed up during the mugging, does that count? And my coma was big stuff. I'm not disagreeing with you or being contentious at the heart of it. Victimology can be a huge pain in the ass and people get offended about everything, oft times things that don't matter at all in the grand analysis. I couldn't stop laughing that Santa Claus should suddenly be gender neutral because Santa doesn't represent everyone's identity. Da fuq wrong with this country, it's goddamn Santa Claus, WHO CARES?! I'm gonna become Gay Menorah Man just to bother everyone. The problem is that people spend way too much time focusing on minutiae. Anyway, none of this erases the fact that DeShaun Watson didn't exercise good judgement. He just didn't.
https://bleacherreport.com/articles...istening-to-offers-gm-wont-take-discount-deal Texans are now open to trading DeShaun for "3 first round picks and more".
It's kinda ridiculous. I've seen some articles claim they will get up to 5 high picks for him. I cannot imagine a team better everything on him right now. Houston really screwed this up. And if he is innocent, which he may be, then he's worth a lot. But right now I don't think I would give 1 1st for him.
The Jets chance to get Watson was to go to the Texans with the #2 and offer a straight up swap. It wasn't going to be a particularly good option but it has passed now.
Interesting….. I wonder how much they are going to give up to get him. I would imagine Tua would be going to Houston along with picks.
I'm really not worried about this. The Fins aren't a particularly stable franchise and they're unlikely to be able to leverage Watson for long-term contention.
Here's what I think a 1st, a 2nd and Tua with a conditional 1st each of the next 2 seasons if Watson is playing instead of in jail. Then after beating the P*ts week 1 a video is released of one of the encounters Watson had with a massage therapist which is bad enough the league suspends him pending the outcome of the case. Long story short Phins are out a 1st, 2nd and Tua for one game with Watson. Well that's how I hope it turns out.
Absolutely correct. This is kind of a strange move for Miami. They’ve been hyping Tua all along ( overrated ) now it seems they’re going all in as if their window is closing. Which it shouldn’t be ....
If he's not on the exempt list yet, he might play the in full season without issue. The commissioner bout Roethlisberger, Zeke and others who have never been charged on it for allegations. This guy hasn't even been talked going near it. It's strange.
I won't be happy if he ends up with Dolphins. Bills already has a good QB and if Dolphins gran Watson, we will have to deal with at least 2 franchise QB's for foreseeable future. I don't even know what Mac Jones will yield but if he is semi decent, we will have a brutal division. Can't he go to an NFC team for God's sake?
That's why I would be hoping for a leaked video but I also just read this from someone claiming the Texans aren't backing off their trade demands even for some of the picks to be conditional. "The Texans aren’t interested in making conditional picks part of a potential trade for Watson. The reason other teams are broaching that idea is because of Watson’s unresolved legal situation as he’s still facing 22 civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault and/or sexual misconduct and 10 criminal complaints filed with the Houston Police Department. It may take as long as a few more months before a decision is made on whether a grand jury will or will not be presented a case with no decision reached yet on if an indictment will be sought." https://texanswire.usatoday.com/2021/08/29/texans-not-ready-trade-deshaun-watson/
