I read in a few places that he was unconscious at the scene, and never regained consciousness. I assume that means he didn't suffer.
I’m so sorry for the Knapp family. with deepest sympathy. If justice is needed, may justice be served.
Head Injury im guessing. I lost a family member the same way, those few days when they are in a coma and you are praying the swelling goes down and they pull through is a nightmare for the family. Our brains are very fragile and we can lose life at any moment. Often we forget and these tragedies remind us
I have a friend who suffered a similar injury back when we were in high school. He had fallen off his bicycle, and actually cracked his skull. He was unconscious for three days, but fortunately he fully recovered. I was hoping the same would be true for Coach Knapp, may he rest in peace.
This is just awful news. I've lost a close friend to a car accident and that was soul crushing, I don't think I could comprehend how his family must be feeling. RIP Greg Knapp and I hope his family can try to move on the best they can.
Even though we've had our differences and probably will continue to, I'm sorry that you had to go through that!
RIP Coach Knapp. Prayers for his family, friends, colleagues, former players he has coached, and Jets' CS and players!
Sorry for your loss. You are correct in saying that nobody can truly know what it feels like to lose someone you are close to in that fashion. Life is so strong yet so fragile. Here one day and gone the next.
For sure, just need to appreciate everyday you have with everyone in your life, which is why I don't hold grudges.
