I thought it was fun. You have to go into The Tomorrow War by turning off your brain though. The movie lacks logic in so many scenes it was driving me nuts. If you just go with it and enjoy the ride, it is a fun action movie. Just don't think too much about what is going on.
I couldn't do it. There were so many scenes that made absolutely no sense. I thought that movie sucked.
Saw Black Widow yesterday. Another post covid movie but a pretty good attempt given the limitations. Don't look for the greatest Marvel movie of all time cause this ain't it. Stream it might be the best option unless you're a popcorn junkie like I am. Yes there are gaps. yes there are moments when you go.. ???? Trailers were great. Lotsa movies coming up.
Agreed. The story depends on you accepting the sheer stupidity of the decisions of the characters as actually sound and reasonable courses of action that I couldn’t get into it either.
I liked The Tomorrow War a lot. Definitely some major logical holes and the ending got pretty corny but I liked it a lot overall.
'The Clovehitch Killer'. It's more of a thriller than anything else, very loosely based on the BTK killer (Dennis Rader). It has its messed up moments with some decent acting peppered in. I'm talking really messed up moments. I'm not a fan of sheds.
Just watched it yesterday it's a fun movie if you don't think about it too hard. I thought the acting was really good even though some of the story is cliche
'Waterworld'. What a garbage movie. Don't ever waste your time. Kevin Costner is awful. It's excruciating every step of the way.
Ha, yep. What was that other crap movie with Costner? Wait, I got it. 'The Postman'. Ugh. Ford Lincoln Mercury, hahaha. How do you even come up with something that terrible? EDIT: I remember reading this review once years ago where this guy said it was so bad he wanted to strangle himself to make it end. I adore movies that are so bad they're great, but this does not fit that mold.
'Blue Ruin'. Low budget, high on violence, depressing, all over the place revenge flick. Worth a watch because the main character's acting is pretty good given the parameters of the story. I saw this years ago, might see again.
Agreed! I enjoyed the trilogy a lot. I felt the first hour+ of the third part could have been condensed to like 10 minutes, but no biggie. It was fun!
Saw 'Black Mass' with Johnny Depp and a few other recognizable names and faces in it the other night. Thought it was heavy-handed and kind of hackneyed but a couple of murder scenes are really disturbing. I knew somewhat of Whitey Bulger and I remember when he was arrested but I didn't know he was that brutal.
Not a film, and I know I’m late to this one… I never watch regular tv anymore , too many commercials . But designated survivor on Netflix is pretty damn good so far. Halfway through first season.
