I’ve got em at 9-8. I’m a somewhat optimistic poster but I haven’t been this excited about the team in a decade. I think the offense is Top 10 in the league. It all depends on Wilson and I really think he’s going to be the real deal.
My bold prediction is that the Jets will win at least 1 game. This way, no matter how many they win, I'll have been proven right.
Perhaps, but they are overhadowed by her crazy mouth. I hope that she doesn't prove to be an embarrassment and distraction for Zach and the Jets. That would be our luck. We finally draft a QB with great talent, and his career is derailed by a crazy ass mother. At least that would be something different for the Jets and wouldn't be repeating history!
While I agree with your general points about truth and how people believe what they want to over objective facts and truth, I disagree that you used logic to come to the conclusions you did about JD, Zach and the Jets. I believe your analysis is based on some false narratives/beliefs, and that you are committing what you claim others are.
My predictions : 1) Lawson will finish with 10+ sacks 2) Michael Carter (RB) is a serious candidate for offensive rookie of the year 3) The Jets will finally beat the Eagles 4) The Jets finish over .500
Not so bold prediction: TGG posters will alternate between meltdowns and manias all season. Actual bold prediction: the Jets will lead the league is rushing this season.
I'm usually so wrong because my heart is always before my head so I generally beg off of predictions mostly because I'm terrible at it. The only thing I ever got 100% right was Nate Kaeding, haha. That was crazy. "This guy is gonna miss three times, write it down." And he did. "King me." That's pretty much my only claim to fame with predictions, and I don't even know why I went there, because what an unbelievable thing to happen. I'll go rational and say 8-9 (holds breath).
If a defense built perfectly to run a Saleh system finishes bottom 5 in defense while being coached by Saleh, something went horribly wrong.
Here are my simple predictions for 2021 Bold. We will be top ten in rushing yards per game by week 6 Not so bold. Wilson will convince us by mid season he is the QB we have all been waiting for. Easy prediction. The fan base will finally be reenergized and happy to see a Jets team that is competitive and fun to watch every week. We will be playing meaningful games in the later part of the season. Bet on it. We will no longer have to hear the depressing death wish to tank the season.
I think that if Zach was going to be distracted by her he wouldn't been able to do what he's done so far. One of his greatest stengths seems to be his single minded focus on being the best. I don't think his mom will distract him in the least.
Bold prediction: Jets go 9-7. Realistic prediction: Jets win more than 6 games. If they fail to win at least 6 games, something has gone terribly wrong, and we're staring at another rebuild, at which point I will no longer care.
I think you're probably right, and certainly hope that you are! Man, that would be tough to deal with, however.
I disagree that if they don't win at least 6 games that something has gone terribly wrong. For instance, Zach could get seriously injured early and miss most of the season. Other key players could get injured as well. It could take longer for the players to adapt to the new systems, and for the rookies to develop. I feel pretty certain that they will win at least 6 games, and could win as many as 9 games, but their W-L record is not that important to me, as developing the young players and seeing who can be counted on to help them moving forward. They could play tough and smart and be in every game, but due to rookie mistakes, not knowing how to put games away, etc. or the CS going conservative, they could win up winning only 4-5 games. IMO that wouldn't mean another rebuild. It would just mean that this rebuild isn't finished, and we aleady know that. It's a work in progress and needs at least one more strong offseason.
