Rule is so freaking bad. If either of those ground balls were fielded cleanly in the 8th the Phils don't score.

Maybe I'm being a Lindor hater but when you want him to bunt he doesn't and when you want him to swing he attempts a bunt. lol

The only rule that might have made sense (the universal DH) is the one they don't do. 7 inning double headers and starting extra innings with a man on second are both ridiculous. They were introduced because of worries about how COVID might result in the schedule being totally messed up, which is no longer an issue. So stupid.

Wow, Jake's ERA soars up to 0.69.

Mets come all the way back thanks to the bad Phillies bullpen and bad Phillies defense to win it in the bottom of the 9th, and send the fans home happy.

Offense still concerning! Diaz and non-save situations still concerning, but the Mets win! Nats & Braves lost. Good day!

    Let's go Mets!

Would love for Mets to win it all (if not for my TB Rays).

    This way.

Spoiled Van 'Rotten' $$$$Yankees front running Bronx Zoo fans can finally remember the feelings of Queens celebrating in the streets of NYC for the 1st time since 1969-1986. A celebration that'll be as epic as Messier and the 94 Rangers!

I've been calling it all whole Year.

    NY Mets
    v
    s.
    TB Rays.

    #2021
    #BattleOfTheUnderdogs.

Win/win situation. Either me and my daughter celebrates a Rays Celebration and TB Parade and/or your Queens Mets break the hearts and pride and EGO of our AL East Yankees Rivals.

Go NY go NY GO I'm pulling for you Jets Mets fans.

Definitely correct about the inconsistent run production. Some games, particularly on the road, they’ve been efficient at producing runs. Just moving guys along.

About this afternoon, it’s is the type of game that the Mets would lose (like in 18, 19, and 20). This crew is better at adapting and coming back. Like Howie and Josh said, the team with the fewest sac flies just got two in the past three games. Pleased that they can win without their best stuff.

I guess BVW should take a bow for letting Wheeler go.. We don't need that level of pitching considering how well our offense is rolling along. Its not like we're in first place because of how good we are hitting. We're in first place because of how bad everyone else in the division is playing.

Split the 8 vs the Braves/Phils. Said I would be happy with that before that 8 game stretch started. Get the one tonight, then take the series vs ATL. Come on boys

Eickhoff is certainly not the answer. And it really is annoying seeing how so many hitters and pitchers really have no clue how to play the game. The one guy you can't let beat you in this game is Schwarber, so of course he has two home runs. And the Mets are down three runs, and hitters are swinging at sliders on the corners or out of the strike zone when they're up 2-0 in the count. What exactly is being taught in the minor leagues these days? It's pretty pathetic, and it's clear that Hernandez and Darling are disgusted by the lack of understanding of major leaguers about how to actually play baseball.

Fewest runs per game in the majors. Mets are lucky this division has been bad.
