Glad we signed him- we’ve finally got solid starters and good depth on the OL. Curious to see how well he adapts to our zone blocking scheme. I wonder if he opted for the one year deal in case that wasn’t his thing and he didn’t want to be stuck here as a backup.
holy crap that's cheap. I'm betting he wants a 1 year deal so he can get a big contract next off season. seems we keep fant as the top back-up and probably draft a future RT next offseason
partially yes but either if you don’t follow football all that much or you have an agenda if you aren’t even willing to admit that Douglas is doing about as much as he possibly can to build this team the right way. From the talent on the roster now to the flexibility in the future. It’s inarguable.
There are plenty of reasons to question Douglas. Feel free to think he's doing everything right, but your opinion isn't the only valid one.

He was able to wait the following offseason in order to steal Morgan as the #1 rated remaining FA (without a draft pick) and also got it done for less than $4M (way less than your $7M)? Maybe, that's why? Welp. They leaked this one and/or gave others enough information in order to leak this one. Yes. We really, really, really wanted Moses. Just ask your boy Fant who goes back to riding the bench (as always, hah, even you know that much) and/or ask Moses who's our new starting RT and/or better yet go and ask Joe Douglas; who just signed him in order to replace your little George Fant.
Dude. You're full of it. A.) You questioned JD for wanting him by not spending 6th round pick + $7M last offseason (as a way of telling us Moses wasn't worthy come 2021). B.) You talked up Fant throughout 20+ pages and even considered him to have "All Pro potential" (which I laughed @ you for). C.) You created plenty of posts crapping all over Moses in order to talk up "Fant"
I actually like a lot of his posts, and I really like his enthusiasm, but that was just incredibly immature gloating. What is he? Nine?
But for the record your reading comprehension really sucks. A. I didn’t question JD, I mentioned if Moses was the savior you think he is, he coulda been had for a 2022 6th round pick. The conclusion is JD isn’t as high on Moses as you are. Doesn’t mean he’s not wanted but it does mean he’s being paid less than Fant in 2021. B. I didn’t say Fant had “all pro potential”. I said my ideal season would include him having an all pro year. My ideal season included lots of things that would make you miserable. C. I didn’t crap on Moses. I said multiple times I hope we sign him. I stated repeatedly I hope we sign him but on paper he lacks the lateral quickness ideal for our scheme. If you want to see what it looks like to “shit on someone” read any of my posts where I mention you. D. Only 1 of us changes posts depending on their mood. Remember the multiple times you said “I’ll stop making long drawn out posts”? I do. They’ve been completely edited out but I remember them.
I agree with both. I love his enthusiasm and give him props for working hard but mostly hate his posts. Too much of a good thing becomes very bad quite quickly.
