I never heard about the player mutiny, either! WTF? Have I been living in an alternate dimension? LOL

Damn southern media doesn't have any stories about the Jets.

I don't know if it is true or not but I recall reading it. I did a quick google search and the closest thing I found was a mention of a near player mutiny. I am pretty shocked articles are still there as many places remove old articles after 5 or 10 years.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2000/12/31/...s-players-respect-then-proves-them-right.html

In regards to Mangini Gholston here is a quick link from PFT quoting Cimini when he was at the DN.

had he stayed we had a foundation and a good coach. instead he left, al groh filled in for a year then he went to college and it's been a never ending disaster ever since.

That isn't Belicheat's fault. It's irrational to blame him. Woody Johnson could have hired a competent or even great HC prospect. He could have hired a VP of Football Operations, let him hire the new HC, and let him run the team, but he didn't.

Thanks! I just realized why I may have missed a bunch of that news. I had quit my job in GA, and moved back to take care of my elderly parents who were having major health issues. I was taking them to 2-3 doctor's appts. a week most weeks, doing the yard work, grocery shopping, cooking, dishes, most of the cleaning, laundry, and was working part time teaching. I didn't have a lot of "spare" time or energy for the Jets, and they were rarely, if ever on TV. I tried to keep up as best I could, but probably missed it during that time.

That sounds like a tough time and now it is much easier to find information than it was 10 to 20 years ago.

Either way, I hope that we will look back at this year as the year where things turned around for the Jets. We deserve our time in the sunshine too. The Mets are looking better with new ownership, the Knicks were amazing this year, the Islanders appear to be building the right way and JD seems to be trying to do the same and build a team for long term success. All our NY teams seem to finally have some hope. Hopefully, it is finally our time as Jets fans. I can't wait for summer camp.

Bill has never been able to win without the greatest QB of All-Time & wouldn't have won with our Jets (w/o Brady).

I created this thread back in March of 2020 before the start of 2020 & I knew 100% that Brady would win without Bill & BB would LOSE in N.E without Brady.

Very long but one of my favorite football articles I've ever written.

@patleahy I thought you'd love that article I wrote (above).

Now 61-72 All-Time without Brady (.458%) and is barely better than Gase (without Brady).

Bill last year was the same career loser without Brady as he was during his Cleveland days and just like he was in year #1 in N.E (5-11).

While Bill (once again) failed to make the playoffs in N.E without Brady (x3); Brady won the SB during his first ever year WITHOUT Bill Belichick (the fraud).

Without a doubt, Kotite! 4-28 over 2 seasons and the year after he leaves Parcells has them at 9-7. If you also include the fact that Kotite was GM and picked Brady over Sapp-- and then the next year he selects WR Van Dyke with the first pick in the second round AFTER he had just taken WR Keyshawn at #1 and also had just signed WR Graham and had rising star WR Chrebet already on his roster. Dumb shit!

Absolutely right. Belichek stunk for 5 years running the Browns. Then he was 6-10 and then 0-2 with the Pats until Lewis koed Bledsoe. Brady comes in and they win the super bowl. Belicheck is/was nothing without Brady.

Nope. He's a fraud. And he's finally getting exposed.

    Without Brady? lol!!

    1991: 6-10.
    1992: 7-9.
    1993: 7-9.
    1994: 11-5 (2nd round exit).
    1995: 5-11.

    Fired!

    2000: 5-11.
2001: 0-2 (and THEN Brady, happened).
    2008: 11-5 (missed the playoffs after 16-0).
    2020: 7-9.

    8 years without Brady.
    2 winning seasons.
    6 losing seasons.
    1 postseason appearance.
    7 postseasonless years.

He's barely better than ADAM GASE without Tom Brady (.458%).

    He's the biggest fraud ever.

Everyone considers him a "defensive guru" but he's not; he inherited a Bill Parcells created Defense in 2000 with the likes of Bruschi, McGinest, Miloy & Ty Law already in place and heck, even Adam Vinatieri was already there by the time Bill ever arrived @ N.E.

    Oh yeah.

    Kosar (11-18),
    Philcox (2-3),
    Tomczak (4-4),
    Vinny (16-15),
    Rypien (2-1),
    Zeier (1-3),
    Bledsoe (5-13),
    Cassel (10-5),
    Garoppolo (2-0),
    Brissett (1-1).
    Newton (7-8).
    Hoyer (0-1).

He's the definition of mediocre as an HC; an absolute FRAUD.

He's also the only NFL coach who's (ever) lost not one but two 1st round picks due to cheating.

Andy Reid is 10x better. Andy Reid has won and wins with EVERY QB he's ever coached. Even if BB gets lucky as passes Shula it won't take long for Andy Reid to pass him (with his horse in Patrick Mahomes).

A HC with 6 Super Bowl wins will never be viewed as a fraud by the league.

    Wrong.

When you're the only coach who's ever lost a 1st round pick due to cheating; you're a fraud and when you're a coach who breaks your own NFL record with two stripped 1st round picks because of cheating? You're an automatic fraud.

When you go 7-9 and miss the playoffs all while Tom Brady wins a Super Bowl in Tampa Bay during his FIRST YEAR without Bill? LOL You've just been EXPOSED as a fraud.

    It was always Tom Brady.

And BB as a defensive minded fraud deserves 0 credit for Tom Brady; that belongs to both Charlie Weis and Josh McDaniels (10x more than the fraud who watched him from the sidelines).

    @patleahy how's that for, stats?!?

Belly missing the playoffs last year (x3 in N.E without Brady) while Brady wins a SB during his first year without Bill = Belichick EXPOSED as a miserable fraud.

I always knew Bill sucked and it was always Brady; which is why I put 2-3 hours into my thread last year back in March (I already knew 100% what was about to happen).

Belichick will get into the HOF whether you like it or not. I hope Saleh has a "fraudulent" run with us that features 9 Super Bowl appearances and 6 wins.

Ton Brady winning a SB the first year he escaped Bill doesn't lie (all while Bill completely failed to make the playoffs with a LOSING record).

    61-72 without Tom Brady?

Career "winning" percentage of .458% without Tom Brady?

Failed to make the playoffs all 3 years (x3) in N.E without Tom Brady?

36-44 throughout 5 years in Cleveland without Brady ala .450%?

    EMBARRASSING.

He's barely better than Adam Gase (without Brady).

If the voters will forever keep Barry Bonds out of the HOF for cheating, hopefully the Football writers will realize Bill was a cheating scumbag POS and refuse to vote him in.

Wishful thinking but regardless he's been exposed as a cheat and as a fraud and I know it's killing him deep inside knowing Brady embarrassed him by winning a SB immediately after escaping him.
