    I don't blame him.

My mom has worked in the medial field since before I was born (finally retired last year) and she's never believed in any type of vaccine; not even the flu shot.

I'm type 2 diabetic have been around thousands of people since Covid-19, I never wear a mask (unless in a store) and never have any hand sanitizer on me etc and I've been 100% perfectly fine.

To each our own but I don't trust lining up in line in order to be experienced with as a
    Guinea pig.

Seen multiple people in the media crush athletes lately about not getting the vaccine. Pretty disgusting. You want it? Go get vaxxed. You don't? Hope nothing happens to you, but its their choice. Crushing them on radio or TV doesn't sit well with me.

Probably opted out because he's low risk.

I'm all for vaccinations, don't get me wrong. Still got the Mumps, though, lol. It was awful, my cheeks were blown up like a chipmunk. I think at the time the vaccine was for the Measles and Rubella only. Vaccines save a lot of lives, but the pertussis vaccine is almost a non-sequitur at this point.

I have the polio stamp on my arm, who doesn't. What scares me is shingles. Almost everyone in my age demographic has had chicken pox, but good luck getting that vaccine. It's prohibitively expensive and out of pocket at the pharmacy (all of them). At one point it was $475, now it has dropped to $190, but that's still times two (because booster).

Almost all physician's offices don't stock it because they don't have the refrigeration capacity, it's at great cost to them, blah blah blah. At some point I'm just going to bite the bullet, but it's like the tail wagging the dog.

Newsflash, if you've had EBV, the COVID vaccine doesn't do anything to speak of. Sam Darnold may or may not know that, but maybe his Dr. does. I only know this because one of my closest friends is severely immunocompromised (CF/ double lung transplant recipient) and the vaccine was a huge dud for her because she had EBV in the past.

Apparently his questionable decision-making extends to off the field...

Messenger RNA vaccines arent really new, there just was no incentive to really do anything with it until now. So this isnt a test sunject vaccine. Its safe effective and its probably how most future vaccines will be made.

Viruses evolve and change so juat because you havent gotten it yet or did and it wasnt that bad, doesnt mean you cant get a worse version.

She's going into a clinical study. EBV is also very closely tied to Large B-cell lymphoma, which she also has. Vaccine for COVID did squat, which is a huge concern.

Im curious to see these results but i dont buy it. Because thats not quite how the process works in the body. Ive seen plenty of people with mono get covid just like anyone else who hasnt had mono.

That being said, sometimes vaccines fail in people. Its rare but it does happen. Ive had people be vaccinated multiple times for hep b and just never hold immunity. There was nothing wrong with them medically. So this will be interesting.

That's not what I mean. She has CF and Large B Cell Lymphoma, and sometimes organ transplant recipients get that second part as well as having had EBV. The clinical study is experimental as opposed to going the Rituxan route again because it came back. She's extremely high risk for COVID, and practically lives in a plastic bubble. Again, EBV and Large B Cell are strongly connected, and because she had a previous EBV infection the COVID vaccine did nothing to protect her. She goes to the best doctors in the world, and if she ever contracts it, she's royally screwed. I'll have to ask her what test that was, but she's ridiculously compliant and knows what she's doing. Her entire life is dedicated to staying alive.

So Sam leaves NYC for the South and suddenly becomes "edgy". Surprising! :)
