The best chance for him to ever appear as a Met again is probably if they make him a qualifying offer. He would be in a similar position to Stroman this year, having the opportunity to audition for everybody while making the mere pittance (!) of around $20 million. If the Mets are unwilling to make that offer to Syndergaard and let him walk, that means that they think he's completely done.

Mets going to town on the Braves, now up 11-1 in the bottom of the 6th. McCann 4/4, and Maybin finally gets a hit.

Lindor now hits one out, the fifth of the night for the team.

The other 29 teams in major league baseball currently average 52.6 games played so far. The Mets have currently played 45. It's very odd, and it's going to put a lot of pressure on the pitching when they have to make up all of those lost games.

Villar Might be the worst player on the bases I’ve ever seen. He’s gotta chill out a little. Making too many outs.

Pillar singles in his first at bat coming back. Alonso with a home run and 4 RBI coming back. deGrom lowers his ERA to 0.71, the lowest ERA for a qualifying starter through the end of May in MLB since 1964.

What was the point of activating Lugo if you weren't gonna use him?

Nice to see the bats waking up, including of course Lindor. Peterson was amazingly bad, of course, and apparently Davis' return to the lineup has once again been pushed back, so not all good news.

Absolutely awful job by Mason Williams on what was actually an easy catch that ends up being a Tatis home run.

Mets get the tying run to second with none out in the 9th, and then go out meekly to lose 4-3.

Can we hope that Lindor has finally arrived? His split in the last 8 games (8 game hitting streak) is .389/.405/.667.

deGrom is ridiculous. His ERA is down to 0.62, with a WHIP of 0.569 and 14.4 K's/9 IP.
