Barry Trotz deserves a lot of credit. I am pretty sure this is his 7th straight season of making it at least to the 2nd Round of the playoffs. That is remarkable. Two different teams too.

This is his third time eliminating the Penguins too since losing his first two series against them as Caps Head Coach, showing he learned how to adjust to their play.

I think the Bruins will be much tougher than the Penguins in Round 2. You guys have mentioned Rask is better than Jarry, but their defense overall is better, and their top 2 lines can score with ease. I think the Isles can give them a better fight than the Capitals did though. Good luck, fellas!

It will be a tough series for sure. Hall gives Boston a good 2nd line. Their 1st line might be the best in the league. Unfortunately for the Isles they won't have the Jarry Clown Show in goal this round as Rask is a good goalie. Like you said the B's are better defensively. I would expect its Sorokin going forward now. This should be a low scoring series that goes 6 or 7 games. Should be fun.

The whole 8pm start time but game doesn't actually start 7 minutes later, or maybe 15 or 12 minutes later thing has always pissed me off about sports.

Isles are working hard, but the lack of finishers really hurts this team.

Power play goal - I didn't think they remembered how to score those.

If the entire game plan is going to be counting on Sorokin to save their bacon, it's not going to end well.

How many times is Scotty Mayfield going to act as a screen in front of Sorokin and help opposing shooter to score?

someone needs to tell him to either get out of the way or attack the shooter and poke check!

Running around and chasing the puck leads to bad things.

Bruins dominating play, but as usual Sorokin keeping the Isles in the game.

Are these announcers seriously trying to claim that this is the way the Islanders want to play, because it's their "system"? You mean that "system" that led to two losses when Varlamov was in net? What a joke. The Islanders are being outworked and outplayed, have no business being in a tie game, and will lose this series badly if they don't start playing a hell of a lot better.

Like I said, if Sorokin doesn't make miracle saves, the Bruins are vastly better than the Islanders. Varlamov will be in net on Monday, and I don't think it will be pretty.

Barzal caps off an awful game with a lazy penalty on the 6-on-5.

Boston's first line is just too much for the Isles

This is just the reality of this Islanders team, they simply don’t have the players to match up against Bruins top two lines.

Marchand alone is a better player than Bailey, Eberle and Beuvillier combined.

Bruins are too talented, have a superior goalie and will sweep the Islanders.

Trotz gets wins by calling for aggressive play and putting shots on goal and then everyone takes a night off.

Yeah, this might be over soon. Bad turnover and defense, and nothing at the end to cover up the mistake.
