Thanks bud. Yes - Moderna. I'm usually up at the same time every day, sick, hungover, no sleep the night before, whatever. I woke up about an hour and a half later today. Feeling better as the day goes on and I move around though.
Did you get Moderna or Pfizer? Moderna is notorious for giving people a bad reaction on the second dose. My sister-in-law got sick as hell for three days following her second dose. Hope you feel better soon!
The people that get their second shot early in the day are better off. It seems the worst of the symptoms hit around 16 to 18 hours after you get the shot. So if you're getting it at like 10:00 in the morning you're most likely going to sleep through the worst of it.
It's been 2 weeks now since my 2nd shot. You know what that means: Party time!!!!!!!!!! And by party, I mean I get to visit my grandma for the first time in 14 months this weekend.
Got my 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday. Maybe a little more sluggish than normal this morning but no bad sides to speak of other than that.
Yeah that would've been a good strategy. Didn't really strategize, I just jumped on the first appointment available because this was at the end of April (probably a couple days before they said they're widely available). I got the first one because I had work meetings with international employees in town.
this is actually an excellent point, @bicketybam I found that to be the case. I got my 2nd shot early afternoon, like around noon-1 pm and the only side effect I experienced was a very mild fever which hit me while I was asleep, around 3-4 am. By the time I woke up at 9 am I felt fine.....so that would be right around your 16-18 hours estimate.
Mrs Donkey had her second jab yesterday, same as the first no side effects. My second is Wednesday, hoping for nothing, like the first.
I got both my Modernas at three in the afternoon with only arm pain for less than a day each time. I had posted here that I went for beers after both shots - you might have to force yourself to pay attention to what I say sometimes, even if it kills you.
First of all - there's a reason no one pays attention to what you say. Secondly - what's your point? Your experience is the rule and everyone else's should be the same?
