I'll be watching on an illegal stream as per usual. London is too expensive for me, besides all that, the wife can't stand the game and I won't be allowed to go and have fun (a loose term with it being the Jes) on my own in the capital City. Plus I have to work the next day Oh and I don't drink so I fail right from the off really
I agree, even though it is bringing the Jets over this year, I'd be super pissed off if the EPL said English football had to play a game in the States.
I just hate it because the games are usually terrible and when you're a terrible team (and starting a rookie QB with a rookie coach) that's a bad mix.
That's the best they can do on turkey day? Geez a monkey throwing at a dart board could have picked 3 better games. Now I have to spend more time with family !!! or just watch bad football. edit - Bears / Lions better be the early game. If its not we will have to eat very early or late so I don't throw up my food watching that game.
I on the other hand love this. I definitely will try to get tickets for this one, I have no idea how difficult they are to get though.
Not that easy based on last time. Queue and refresh constantly from the second they go on sale. Took me about 45 minutes. And Spurs has a smaller capacity than Wembley.
The Jets home opener is against NE as per a twitter feed under the name ‘The Spike King’....also shows the Jets going to NE after the bye and ending the season in Buffalo.
Half the schedule has been leaked basically the Jets will have played 5 road games by Nov 4. The majority of home games are after that date .... interesting.
The schedule already looks more fun than recent seasons. Week 5 in London is cool. Instantly playing Sam Week 1 should be fun. I think it gives the Panthers a big edge that they likely would not have mid-season, but we will see.
Week 15 is home vs the Saints - their ( Saints ) entire schedule was leaked. Cold weather game vs done team without Drew Brees.....looks like a positive. At this point it looks as though the Jets may have a three game home stand around that time...
Damn shame you'll not be down Kenny boy. Still the League Title and Champions League to come must help!
I like the fact that QB Wilson is opening up on the road. No matter what the sport (MLB, NFL, NBA) I believe there is LESS pressure on the highly rated rookie to debut away from the home crowd already expecting miracles.
Why are we going to London? Players and fans hate this. Nobody wants to watch a football game on Sunday morning at 9am. I'd hate to be living on the west coast. They better make the game at 1pm.
Reading through this thread it appears we know: 1. @Carolina 2. NE 5. @Atlanta (London) 9. @Colts (Thur) 14. NO 18. @Buffalo @NE after the bye
I'm happy that London is calling for the Jets. I'm a Jets fan in DC and this will be one of the few games, maybe 4?, where I can see the entire game (lawfully).
Why would they do something so idiotic like that? Can we let both QBs settle into their new surroundings & teams get acclimated first before having a somewhat "big" game that a lot of us are looking forward to?? The NFL always tries to be too cute with this stuff.
