Don’t make your appointment just yet. There is actually very little evidence right now to support any notion that people will need a booster for either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines after six months - ongoing trials have found that both are still more than 90% effective after six months (and still virtually completely effective against serious illness). Let’s just say that the Pfizer CEO is hardly an unbiased observer when it comes to floating the idea of needing booster shots.

Correct, any new shot will most likely be directed at new strains rather than waning effectiveness against the original. And the Pfizer guy did not say for sure we would need another shot as the alarmist headline claimed, he said it was "likely."

Almost 19 hours into my second shot and besides a very sore left arm, I'm doing well. Was looking forward to taking a day off of work since today will be in the 80s.....

Had to reschedule mine. Wasn't clear on my medical coverage. Shots are $200 each so I have to be sure. Will get it again at some point in May.

Good luck. Hopefully your experience will be better than mine was. (Again, either way it's definitely worth it - shingles is apparently a real bitch to get, and the Shingrix vaccine is highly effective [97% effective in preventing shingles in adults 50 to 69].)

Got the J&J shot a couple weeks ago.
No issues at all. Feel fine and glad I did it.

    Thanks,
My arm is really sore, slightly swollen, but so far that's all I have experienced.

Got my second dose the other day, got a sore arm like the first dose but this time I also felt wiped out and achy everywhere. The worst of it was about 18 hours post-vaccine; since then, it's been getting better.

Did you ever test positive previously? Some people I know that had, felt like shit the day after the 2nd shot (immune system at work) others that didnt (ex: my parents in their 70s) never felt anything outside of a sore arm.

I get my 2nd shot tuesday

I'm about seven hours out from my second Pfizer. Slight arm pain, but that's about it so far.

It ge really doesn't hit you that quickly. I got the Pfizer shots. The first one was site arm and a slight headache. The second one was a sore arm, slight headach and fatigue.

My girlfriend and her daughter got Moderna. First shot was sore arm only. Secind shot was site arm, body aches, slight fever and fatigue. Their symptoms for the second were the worst at the 18 hour mark.
