Bad coaching, you don't get your team up for the biggest game of the year, we have all this young talent and a terrible coach

There's no place in hockey for Wilson's thuggery, the NHL obviously condones this disgraceful behavior by letting this fuckin' idiot out there

Last night was such an odd hockey game. First, The Caps suspend Kuznetsov and Samsonov for being late to a function. Then TJ Oshie is announced as out for a family matter, which turned out to be the loss of his father. Very sad. Then Ovechkin returns from a 4 game injury, plays 39 seconds, and leaves the game because he still did not feel right. Then Wilson gets into another fight and is out for half of the game, so the Caps were down many key players. Then Panarin left due to injury. Sprong and Backstrom score key goals in the 3rd, and the Caps hung on to a 6-3 win at MSG.

Everyone is talking about Wilson again today too. He is a good player. We have had goons in the NHL for many years, but not usually as skilled as Wilson. That is why it is disappointing he continues to act like that, because he does not need to for the Caps to succeed.

The Rangers ought to call up some kid from the AHL for the sole purpose of bashing that fuck in the face on his first shift.

No doubt about it. He talks as if he gets it, then continues to act that way on the ice, showing that he still doesn't get it. I understand fans of other teams completely hating him too. I have no problem with physical play and hard hits, that is good, but cheap shots, or dirtbag or thug plays as you said, are unacceptable. Unfortunately, he continues to make them. Last night was a little different, as it was after the whistle and part of a scrum, but still dirty and unacceptable.

I love physical play and admire physical players with skill but draw the line at dirty/dangerous plays

The Rangers have a lot of talent on paper. They need to get a bit tougher on the ice. They're missing a Clark Gillies type player that can skate with the ones and also drop gloves with the fours.

Tom Wilson is a thug. The Rangers don't need a thug. They need a guy who is good enough to skate with the ones and also tough enough that the thugs don't want to mess with his linemates.

Gillies protected Bossy for a solid decade when the NHL was cheap shot city. The Rangers need somebody to protect Panarin and Zibanejad and eventually Lafreniere and they need him on the ice with the guy he is protecting.
