And there it is - game-tying home run. I know it won't happen, but if this game cost Rojas his job I wouldn't be unhappy about it. Wait - he might have gotten lucky. It clearly hit the railing, making it not a home run.
Wow, Hoskins is a real moron - the ball clearly hit the railing. What the hell is he complaining about? Meanwhile, wanna bet it'll come out that Diaz is hurt and is going on the IL?
I fell asleep at 4-2 after Didi's homer... wow what a game I missed huh? Really need Lindor to start hitting. It was 2-1, bases loaded and your "best" hitter is up. What a shame. At least he is contributing in the field defensively.
Lindor needs to hit. Team will not be complete without him. Steve needs to sit him down with a Wendy Rhoades to clear out his head. We know Lindor has got the goods. Time to start delivering.
My God, I can't remember the last time I saw someone as bad at the plate as Lindor has been. Three more runners left on base with a big fat whiff.
No complaints (the hitters' approach with runners in scoring position has been awful for the last two seasons, and that's on the coaching), but choosing to do it after two games in which they scored 13 runs is somewhat odd. The fish doesn't stink from the head (Wilpons), but I don't see anything particularly good happening with Rojas at the helm. He has still shown absolutely nothing to suggest that he's a manager worth keeping.
Absolutely shocked Cohen kept Rojas at the start of this season. Even if they went to the World Series, I don't think he's back. He is so in over his head.
If the Mets do fire Rojas, they had better get themselves a manager with prior experience. Giraldi would have been perfect for the Mets but nooooo, we had to go with Rojas after our first choice had to withdraw. Not a big fan of Alderson either tbh. Time for Cohen to clean house for '22 and get some new blood in here. Time to flush the Wilpons out permanently.
I never followed his career, but, I can't believe Lindor was worth that ginormous contract. Talk me off the ledge!
i'm not tryna steal the fire in this thread... but HEY MODS!!!! How bout a BASKETBALL forum?? ahem... KNICKS!
This season has me shocked. I mean they have won 12 of their last 13 games. It's been real fun to watch.
Honestly didn't see too many Indians games. I think the excitement came from what the pundit and the back of his card showed us he was. I think the thing that make you a little nervous is that he didn't have a good year last year. Albeit in a shorten season. The thing that alarms you that you can point to not good play even before the shorten season so he's he's been trending downwards. No one expects him to be where he is right now but having some concerns going forward isn't irrational.
