I love the pics, they went with speed guys. Moore and carter remind me of KC style guys and the offense should help that progress

    Yes.

I never thought I would ever say that in my life but they might be contender this year. They are loaded everywhere!

Same was said about Sewell, Pitts, Chase, to mention a few, but the reality is. "the best player in the draft" is almost always a QB. The influence of that position is far greater than any other.

I don't care about any other teams frankly. I think the Jets did great - overall an "A". The first 4 picks were A+, the last 6 were "B".

Overall, I'm pleasantly shocked that Douglas did something that I can't remember being done by a Jets GM by focusing the first 4 picks on offense. It's as clear a signal that the "Defense wins championships" mentality has been purged. It's long overdue.

Every team gets an incomplete until 2023, however, I get it, it's fun to project.

    Drafts I really liked

Chargers: sometimes just letting it come to you pays off in a big way as it did with Slater and Samuel early.

Panthers: I know Horn over Surtain was an upset, but I really like what they did, adding further weapons to a low-key loaded group.

Broncos: I know they passed on the QB, but I don't love Fields or Jones, but the defense is scary and Javonte should add another dimension to a team that has a very underrated group at WR.

Giants: I know Toney was a polarizing pick, but to grab what could be a top 10 pick next year from the Bears and getting a steal in Ojulari.

Dolphins: Phillips' injury history scares me, but that's a potentially big-time talent. Thanks to Houston's past ineptitude, they might have 4-5 day 1 starters.

Off the top of my head, Miami, New England, Cleveland, or Philadelphia could easily outbid Denver. Whether any of them would be interested is another story, but it only takes one. And Rodgers doesn't have a no-trade clause, so the only leverage he has over where he goes is that he could scare off a suitor by telling them he won't play for them.

Did you see how much money TB spent on their offense before the season?

Miami and New England just drafted QB’s. They’re not all in. Philly could be interested, and they have an extra 1st rounder next year, but I don’t think they can afford him on their cap, quite honestly. Cleveland maybe interested but I’m not sure honestly, and even if they were I’m not sure what Cleveland has that would make it so easy for them to outbid Denver.

If you're Miami, do you really think Tua is the answer? (They've already shown they didn't think Lance/Fields was the answer, but that doesn't mean they think Tua is the answer either.) Meanwhile, if you're Belichick, do you really want to develop Jones and hope he isn't a bust? Or would you rather go all-in on Rodgers, knowing you're going to retire around the same time he does anyway? And Cleveland can include Mayfield in the trade offer, giving Green Bay either their new QB or the picks that would come from flipping Mayfield to a third team.

The Jets draft grade is mainly a function of whether you think Wilson is the guy. And ultimately, his success or failure will determine if this was a good draft or not.

I like what the Browns, Chargers and Broncos did. Denver is even better off if they somehow work a trade for Rodgers.

disagree on that TBH. lets say wilson fails. but AVT, moore, and carter are all pro bowlers. and the late round defense pans out overall and we have a top 5 defense. and wilson winds up being a sanchez/trubisky. we are an average team that's just missing a QB. 2-3 years from now we will be just a QB away and can try again

Unless they think they have a shot at Rodgers?

Offense wins games, defense wins championships.
    Or
Offense sells tickets, defense wins championships.

No one says offense doesn’t matter, but 76 out of the last 80 championships confirm the adage is true.
